at decent levels you dont need help to make the distance, you want accuracy

CN > both. Big Boot only helps on kickoffs, but Automatic doesn't seem to help at all, really.

Geoggers - Spike Geoffery - 4/18 from 50+, rarely kicks touchbacks
bunker3 - Douche LaRoo - 1/2 from 50+, rarely kick touchbacks
PackMan97 - Stephen Videtech - 8/9 from 50+, almost always kicks toucbacks (except in blowouts)

I really don't know where this Big Boot only works on kickoffs came from? Big Boot != Booming Kick. Though, I loves me some booming kick as well.

This player has a very strong leg. The Big Boot skill gives him some extra velocity when kicking or punting, allowing him to kick longer distances. This does not increase his accuracy at longer distances, however.

This skill becomes very important when the offense is having trouble converting on third down. Longer field goals become possible.

Additional Levels: Increases the bonus to kick velocity.

Spike had many attempts from 60+ this season, hence the bad record

i only have 5 in BB, and can make 60+yds

you should be able to make the distance without it, it doesnt improve accuracy. how does it help? wasted SPs imo.

rarely kicks touchbacks? i get about 50% TBs since the angle/velocity change.

During the regular season and playoffs this year, I had a 70% rate of the ball ending up in their 20. Sure, only 23% were touchbacks. TBH, I don't know if the "In 20" stat includes touchbacks or not, but I am guessing it does. I'd still take the 70% inside the 20. Also, if you look at the entire season, including scrimmage games, Douche was 6/8 from 50+. I'd take that from any kicker. He has 65 strength and 8 in BB.

Unless you want to argue that BB is better than CN, I would rate BB and Auto as pretty much a wash.

inside the 20 does not include touchbacks. inside 20 + touchbacks == number really inside 20.

if you want to count scrimmages videtech was 11/12 from 50+.

break kickoffs into two seasons. Games 1-8 (pre buff) and games 9-16 (post buff)..and don't count blowouts, the coasting code kills kickoffs.

games 1-8
37 kickoffs, 66.8 yard average, 11 touchbacks, 25 inside the 20. (29.7% touchbacks, 97.3% inside 20)

games 9-16
52 kickoffs, 78.7 yard average, 49 touchbacks, 3 inside the 20 (94.2% touchbacks, 100% inside 20)

of course...if you guys feel that big boot does nothing on FG's or kickoffs....

oh ya, expect next season to kinda suck as we'll all lose some kicking as soccer star gets nerfed.

I see what you're saying, but I never said it didn't do anything on kickoffs. I just said it doesn't do anything for field goals. Would you still rate CN over BB though? I guess I would now say BB is better than Automatic, but I still feel CN is better than both.

bunker, my guy has a 3 (4 with CE) I think in calm nerves and has no problems hitting anything....though I imagine an 85 confidence is a good replacement for calm nerves. maybe those with lower confidence see more return?

Of course this also gives you an upper bounds on my Big Boot (with AEQ)

Well this last season I added a piece of CN, and I know it's just anecdotal, but I've seen a pretty good increase in my kickers relaibility and accuracy. I had a piece of Automatic AEQ that didn't do shit for xp's. I actually found another piece of CN, and with it on, it's at 14. He has 8 in BB with CE and 81 in conf. Does your kicker have more than 60 str? Just curious. Or does he just have a shit load of kicking?
