Simple enough question. I blitz more often than not, and don't know what would be more useful: 4 more speed or agility, or 8 more strength. It still seems to me that strength just isn't as useful in breaking blocks and getting to the QB, even with it's increased value this season, as getting engaged once by a blocker is often enough to stop the sack. What do you guys think?

I should point out it's +4 TOTAL in speed/agility vs. +8 strength, not +4 to both speed and agility. It's at a rate of 4SP per speed/agility and 2SP per strength. Maybe +16 confidence is better? Definitely leaning towards the speed and agility right now...

Depends on the scheme. You would have to go back and look at his last 10 blitzes or so and see whether he gets engaged, knocked down, etc.

I would say speed/agility. +8 strength isn't going to put a big enough dent against the O-Lineman to make a discernable difference, unless STR is ridiculously high, and at that point, speed and agility are so low that he doesn't even have a chance at getting to the QB.

strength doesn't have to be ridiculously high to make a difference. but it does need to be within a certain range.

It's the difference between 69 raw agility or 68 raw speed vs. 60 raw strength. What do you think then? What range should I be looking for? It's my first player so his build is flawed, but he's also been fantastic so I don't want to screw up now on his next 3 level boost.

OK, I'll be specific. My strength is 51.67, speed is 68.77. agility is 69.29, tackling is 48.94. I'm not going tackling. I blitz OFTEN, and haven't really had tackling problems. What do you think?

I guess it all depends on this season's sim right now. Maybe strength is much more important for LB blitzers now. But it certainly hasn't been historically...

not much you can do here: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=545643&pbp_id=267638
good strength and agility here, just a short pass http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=545643&pbp_id=267845

what's his vision?

good shed, bad angle: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=545643&pbp_id=268638

I would push speed higher but vision might help also. what's your eq in?

Thanks for the input man, I already put it all in speed, but glad to see you agree Equip is split between speed/agility. A lot of people swear by all speed but I've had great success with splitting it so far.

Vision is 52.3... I'll have to consider that for the future.

Vision to 61 will make a noticeable difference. And yes high speed and low agility is not effective for "reactive" positions like LB.
