Funny thing is, if you look back Welsh ran a fairly balanced offense throughout the playoffs. Obviously they knew what Memphis would do (didn't someone from Memphis post that they were doing a lot of gameplaning for this game.....such BS!) so the only real way to counter the cheese is with cheese. It cannot be stopped defensively so you have to do it right back, hope for a couple of breaks and there ya go.
So Welsh did what they needed to do to counter Memphis.....quite honestly Memphis brought the entire competitiveness of the league down with their cheese. I guarantee had they played a balance offense, Welsh would have done the same.
So chew on this Artec and the rest of you who cheese, better recruiting and learning how to do more than Slam it....

gl in A Memphis.....I predict the only wins you get are against gutted teams...

Honestly, I wouldn't take it as far as calling it "pussy football". Stop and think about the Military Academy Football Games, not a whole lot of passing going on there either.But they're still fun to watch. It's whose defense can step up and stop the "exploit". Honestly, I wouldn't take it as far as calling it "pussy football". Stop and think about the Military Academy Football Games, not a whole lot of passing going on there either.But they're still fun to watch. It's whose defense can step up and stop the "exploit". We all knew it was coming, and there are ways to slow it down. Hopefully it gets looked at a little closer in the offseason. Good seasons to all.

It definitely has been an eventful season. I see great promise with the changes and new additions that are coming down the pipe.
As for the Service Academy games, yeah they all tend to go 70% option, but they are not there to just play football and graduate. Football and any other sport ranks as a extracurricular activity. It is a shame Army only held the Commander's Trophy 6 times, but then <insert derogatory comment towards USNA and USAFA>

Defense is what we game planned on not the o, we feared their passing more than the run and that is what got us killed. Anybody with any idea about this season knows that if you want to win you use the strong I. Props to welsh for doing what it needed to do to win thats what this game is about. As far as next season we have already started loading up on talent for that level. It will be a tougher league but we will compete. For all the guys who talked crap about Memphis you really need to evaluate your life if all you can do is come on a game and talk crap about a team you dont even play or have a player in the league. Artec did run his mouth about beating a low level team but he shut up and has more respect now for the teams we faced than before.
Oh and Guy33 we (I) do know how to do more than the SI slam but with me having to set tactics for the O and D it left me no choice but to set us to an easy offense. Try being the only person on a team who can run both sets of AI and do the scouting run your own team also when doing all of this and let me know how hard it is. Im not trying to be an azz or even know if you are calling me out on the AI but try it sometime and you will see my point. Next season will be different since I have a DC set up to be trained.

That is a thoughtless game, just like this one turned into this season. Hopefully next season there will be a repeat play penalty. But nonetheless, Congrats to Welsh, its just a game. I guess if they don't fix it I will be running 99% Slam next season just like everyone else. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
