I've maxed out laser arm, so now I'm curious if quick release is worth getting over football genius. Anyone know?

Of course I know Bort is nerfing the +1% modifiers to make them more situational, so in due time this argument may be a moot point.

Yea I've heard it's a great VA by some. I'm just not sure whether to swear by it or not, lol.

Anyone else have any opinions on it? I'm going to wait to see what Bort does about the +1% modifiers, regardless, so there's still time.

My thoughts exactly. It shaves a couple of ticks off the time the defense has to react to the pass.

Allegedly the vision check requirement is going to be increased for defenders in man coverage and that can only help make Quick Release better. Quick Release leaves defenders with less time to read the QB's throwing motion to begin making a play on the pass and then when it is in the air they should have a harder time noticing it instantaneously like they do now.

Maybe, just MAYBE QBs will actually be able to lead fast WRs and hit them in stride to really capitalize on the defense not having as much time to get in position. But all of this is contingent upon the updates working as intended, so who really knows?

Last season I did not take it, when I reset VAs, my QB had a sub par season, after this reset, I am easily dumping 15 into quick release.

I keep hearing good things. It felt like a waste so i havent tried it yet. Still Skeptical but might try it if my +1%'s get taken away. Might do the Heart of Champion too.

So now that the +1% to throwing (and football genius) is only half as effective, I think we can all safely assume "Quick Release" is an obvious choice, yes? It sounds that way even before reading all your posts and that was before the +1% nerf.

I expect to see the hurries sky rocket with some of the VA choices, making quick release that much more valuable.

It's one of the few "must have" VAs, IMO.

Other than Quick Release, what other VA's should QB's be taking? Is Laser Arm still somewhat effective at +.5%? At the 3rd cap, it still equals about +8 throwing, so just wondering.

Your math is off, my QB has around 71 throwing base and with maxed out laser arm it is barely over +5

Hard count seems to be head and shoulders above the rest of the non-attribute VAs.

I'd rank them Hard Count>>>>>>>>>>>>Clock Manager>>>>Hail Mary>Thick Skin.

Although putting a bunch of points into Mr. First Down should allow you to convert a lot of 3rd and 1-3 w/ a QB sneak.

Two seasons ago I had 10 in Hard Count and I never got anyone to jump offsides. Just throwing that out there...

Yeah I see why my math is off, forgot I had a +5 boost added in there as well as a holdover from last season.
