OFG's win because the Gamblers don't use the Strong I Slam more than 50% of the time. (and no this isn't a cheap ploy to get them to not stack the middle so I can run it) Hopefully we can at least keep it close. Maybe Big Shirley will fumble three times - we'd have a shot then.

just being realistic man. I've been fighting with myself whether to do the Slam fest and I just can't do it -- therefore realistically the OFG's will win. Now if they throw the FB flare once every 4 plays like they did in our last game of the season, it'll be a game, but if they run Big Shirley (who I think is better than Csonka, yea, I said it) all game, it's probably a done deal.

It doesn't mean I won't try to stop the Strong I Slam - I will. It doesn't mean I won't try and score every time we have the ball - I will. It doesn't mean that we aren't going to try and win - you can bet your ass we will. It just means that we're not going to run the Strong I Slam more than 1/2 the time and that puts us immediately at a disadvantage. This isn't an excuse thread (I did change the wording on the initial post because I could see where it might come across that way) - it's a prediction. I'm predicting that the Gamblers will lose (not the first time I've picked against my own team). If we lose, I won't come in here saying anything but good game either, that much you can be assured of.

Not counting the outliers of low levels, Gamblers still have about 16 extra players on their roster, this will give them enough ammo to compete against an imbalanced run game if there is one present.
