As many other greats have fallen in history, such as the Roman Empire, Egypt, Alexander The Great, and Michael Jackson, The Yell are leaving the USA Pros. We came out of the WPL in a blaze of glory a few seasons ago, but the game lost its joy when we left the WPL. Without the WPL the Yell could not exist and flourish like it once did.
Then this season came about, and without mercy or justice Bort slayed the Third Coast Offense. He killed the greatness of the passing game and killed any team that was not the Baltimore Ravens. Now as our backs are up against the wall, and our players in the twilight of their careers, the Yell may never be back in the Pros. So I feel that we have only one choice.
----------------------------------------------
AN ORDINANCE to dissolve the union between the Richmond Rebel Yell and the USA Pro League.
Whereas, the vote to remove The Yell from the USA Pro League, by a sectional party, avowedly hostile to the domestic institutions and to the peace and security of the players of the Richmond Rebel Yell, preceded by many and dangerous infractions of the constitution of the United States by many of the teams and people of the Northern section and the man named Bort, undoubtedly a yankee, is a political wrong of so insulting and menacing a character as to justify the players of the Richmond Rebel Yell in the adoption of prompt and decided measures for their future peace and security, therefore:
Be it declared and ordained by the Richmond Rebel Yell, in Convention assembled, That the Richmond Rebel Yell now withdraws, and is hereby withdrawn from the Union known as the USA Pro League, and henceforth ceases to be one of said League, and is, and of right ought to be a Sovereign and Independent State.
-------------------------------
You might see a couple of our players around next season, but it won't be the same.
There are rumors of a new Third Coast Offense being designed and mastered, and if you are lucky, the Pros might get to one day drop down on their knees and fill their mouths with its magic batter.
