Here we are once again its playoffs time. Its been a great year in the eastern conference and the top 4 all have a chance to prove they are the best in the East. Lets take a closer look at our playoff participants.

1. British Columbia Beasters: Clearly the best in the East. This team a newcomer to the league took the east by storm with its 16-0 record. They easily outscored their opponents and held their main competitors to 14, 12, and 42 points while scoring 59, 55, and 89 respectively. They have the 3rd best pass defense and the 2nd best rush defense. On the Offensive side of the ball they are 2nd passing and 1st rushing. They are the complete package.

Seirus’ Playoff Prediction: Loss to the Bobcats in the 2nd round.

2. Texas Presidents: A stable and reliable team ending the season with a 14-2 record, with their losses coming from BCB and the Bobcats. With a quality win over Richmond the rightly deserve the 2nd seed in this years playoffs. On Defense they rank 4th in pass defense and 3rd in rush defense. Offensively they are 6th in passing and 8th in rushing. They rely on their strong defense and timely offense to remain in close games.

Seirus’ Playoff Prediction: 2nd round loss to Richmond Empire

3. Richmond Empire: The empire were a force last season and looked to be early season favorites for the east title. They end the season with a 14-2 record losing to BCB and Texas while managing to pound the Bobcats. Offensively Richmond ranks 1st in passing yards and 3rd in rushing. On the Defensive side they rank 8th in passing defense and 1st in run defense. They are an offensive powerhouse who rely more on their offense to win games and their D to keep the lead.

Seirus’ Playoff Predication: Eastern Conference winners.

4. Frostburg Bobcats: The enigma of the top 4. They really have yet to find their identity of being a running team or a passing team. Finishing the season with a 13-3 record with losses against the tough Phoenix Scorpions in the west, BCB, and Richmond in back to back games Frostburg looks to be the wild card as they have shown that they can compete with the top teams it just depends which Frostburg team shows up. Offensively the Bobcats rank 6th in passing and 2nd in rushing. Defensively they rank 1st in pass defense and 4th in defense. The Bobcats is the only team capable for a possible upset of the BCB.

Seirus’ Playoff Prediction: Eastern Conference runner-up.

5. Baton Rouge Bayou Bengals: Unfortunately for the Bengals BCB was demoted into this league. They are the best of the rest and next season will be one of the top contenders in the league if all of the top 4 are promoted.

Seirus’ Playoff Prediction: 1st round loss to the Bobcats
6. Torrington Wildcats: Another up and coming team who will be a competitor next season, they have no shot against Richmond and should be hoping to keep Richmond under 100.

Seirus’ Playoff Prediction: 1st round loss to the Empire

7. State College Cyclones: A newcomer to the league who managed to hold on to the 7th seed. Though playing possibly the weakest of the top 4 teams they are no match and should be looking to next season for their first playoff win.

Seirus’ Playoff Prediction: 1st round loss to the Presidents

8. Deimon Devil bats: They have no chance against BCB. Fortunately for them next season BCB wont be in the league any more. Though they will be contenders next season a legitimate shot at a championship is maybe 2 seasons away.

Well guys and gals it was fun doing this for you guys this season and lets hope some of my predications are wrong .

Nice job, though I think your hope that Frostburg upsets the Beast is a pipe-dream.

Worth noting that the W's have been shoring up our team via recruiting. Our offensive line, especially, has had a major upgrade. Whether it will be enough to get us past Richmond or even BC is yet to be seen.

Now the real playoffs start.........

Yeppers. Not a particularly impressive showing from Richmond, either.

Why show all of my cards now I had a good feeling we were going to win that one.

Bobcats better hope that #1 Pass D can hold up to our Aerial Assault. That was 1100 yards passing by Richard Kruspe today, in case you missed it. We'll see if you guys can do better than the last shot you gave us....

Good game BCB, really didnt have a chance against you guys but its ok, represent the east well in the championship.
