Okay, so I need a little advice from those of you that have higher level DT's. I think that I've built my DT pretty well, and he's played much better since being moved to DT from NT. I currently have 14 SP to spend, and will have 19 after next game, so where do I put the points?

-STR and AGI are already 5/6:1, so not really an option.
-Don't really see a point in going with 3:1 speed for a DT (all EQ is in STR).

I'm left with 4 options:
1) Increase tackling to the 3:1 cap
2) Increase vision to the 3:1 cap
3) Increase confidence to the 2:1 cap
4) SAs

I'd really prefer either 2 or 3, because SA's don't seem too viable quite yet, and his tackling is more than adequate for the league he is in (may increase it with boosts next season). Thoughts? Does higher vision help DT's at all or should I soft-cap confidence?

Hey saintedix, (i wouldn't have thought that the mastermind behind Tradewest Battletoads would need advice on anything... )

- with the nerfs that Borth recently tipped off for next season, i believe that tackling will become significantly more important especially for DT/NT guys.
- a starter at level 37 with only 28 stamina? doesn't he gas-out after the2nd quarter? only 27 confidence? "Distance Run" intense training should be your next season's homework.
- SAs after that (the favorites: BT, SB, Wall)
- Then vision to 2nd

imo

lol...I didn't know I had a reputation

Yeah, actually I don't really know that much about DT's. I'm a little more versed with DE's...but having a successful DT is still something of an enigma.

And he is actually a backup...so the 28 stamina actually has been working pretty well for where he's at right now. I have been training CON/STA for a little while now...so yeah I'm right with you. Thanks Bluto.

P.S. AAA is brutal...trust me. We've been outleveled by 5-10 levels at every position against everyone and still somehow managed to stay in the playoff hunt.

great build! you can train con/sta for the rest of his career basically. personally i would continue based on the specifics of your situation. if he was at DT instead of NT you'd pump shed blocks up to 10 and look for a piece of FS AEQ. at NT i'm a little unsure, i'd say find some DLG EQ and get that to 4 natural, but that's based more off intuition than anything. basically you have to look at games versus your top competition (ie the team you want to beat in the playoffs, maybe not this season, but next) and see what would make the biggest difference against them. i'd probably go ahead with 2nd capping tackling myself, imo it increases your range for tackles although it's not as simple as jumping is for WRs.
