I'm going to make a new qb next season, and I've been thinking on which style is best, pro style or dual-threat?? pro-style used to dominate, but later more and more dual-threat qb's have been made, and it seems as they have more value now. What should I go with? Also, what do you think will be the better type of qb in 2-3 seasons?

is there anyone that have another opinion on this? It would be more fun if more than one person could answer to the question

Agreed, rushing QB's will soon be an afterthought. Think Vince Young, Mr. Vick. Neither is doing shit right now...granted one may never get the chance too again. I would say this applies to both NFL and GLB.

I think I would have to say that randall cunningham did ok in the NFL
but since everyone that has written here is saying pro-style, I'm going with it. just on question, what's a good roll??

How about Fran Tarkenton and Roger Staubach? Randall Cunningham slightly more recently? Heck, you could even throw Donovan McNabb and Daunte Culpepper (not now, of course, but remember what a beast he was before his knees gave out? Yes, I do realize he's got LB-like size...)
I'm not totally convinced anyone has really "nailed" the dual-threat build yet. It's only a matter of time before someone comes out with the quintessential build for dual-threat QBs using all sorts of wacky combinations of skills.
On a side note, I'm of half a mind to experiment by building a power-running dual threat QB with base stats somewhat like this:
68 throwing
73 strength
61 speed
68 agility
61 vision
Of course, it would take a while to get to the point where a QB would have all these stats, once it's done, I think it could be very successful with an offensive coordinator who knows how to use it (ie: the "right" kind of linemen, lots of dump passes, screens, WRs built more around agility than speed that can also block, a scatback, a quick blocking FB, a quick hybrid TE). Plus, with everyone building relatively very fast but weak LBs these days (despite the fact that power RBs rule the day at the moment...), a power-running QB (a la 6'4", 260 lb Daunte Culpepper in his prime) might, theoretically anyway, potentially work.
Who knows what's possible? While pro-style (read: pocket QB) QBs have definitely ruled the roost on GLB, you might come out with some sort of new wacky build that defenses are entirely unprepared for because everyone builds their defenses assuming they'll be facing a pocket QB.

Personally I think it would be more fun to do a dual-threat qb, but the question is, will he be effective?? all of you out there who are owners, would you take a dual-threat qb now, or would you rather go with a pro-style (pocket) qb?

In one of my leagues a great team has a dual threat QB, he was just flat out Awesome
Problem with that though, is that the whole team was built around him with nothing but the owner's players. Not sure you will find that out there.
Looks fun as hell though.

As an owner if I saw a dual threat with this build I would take him in a heart beat.
68 throwing (80ish w/equip)
60 vision
68 strength
68 speed (80ish w/equip)
61 agility
55 confidence
(Could probably be there by the high 30's) I will look later tonight when I have access to the player builder. Im interested now
I would run a west coast offense with a lot of dink and dunk stuff. Have the QB set to scramble often and to dump it to the RBs often. For SAs I would want him to pump dump pass and TS. Nothing else for now though since QBs passing out of the pocket is so rare.
This would take a long time but if you complete this build he would be great imo

lmao. Just made this player, but with 60 confidence. It can be done by level 54.
You can definitely do it though by early 30s if you wanted. How I built the other one was make a pocket passer then add speed, if you want to give up more passing ability you can do it by level 35 about
1. throwing to 68
- A must so that with natural gains you can still throw decent w/out much equip
- Level 12
2. strength to 60 (Or vision, whichever you think is more important)
- Level 20
3. vision to 48
-Level 23
4. Speed to 61
- level 30ish
5. Agility to 48
6. Confidence to 48
Well, if I were to make a dual threat, that is what he would look like. He can throw good enough that a good OC can use him and he's fast enough to hurt defenses
