I don't understand why a WR needs as much vision as people recommend. I'd think it would be more valuable to have more jumping instead or something else. someone convince me otherwise.

think about this, whats the point of jumping great if you have no idea where to jump to?
without vision, you wont be able to locate bad passes (which tend to happen often now) and actually use your jumping ability

vision allows you to adjust to the ball in the air better, adjust to badly thrown passes or especially long passes. vision also represents football smarts in general, so it is calculated in some intangible ways, but for receivers it directly helps in receptions. bort has said this and has increased the emphasis on vision for this purpose this season.

other thing is your YAC. Using super elusive is worthless without decent vision so your player can maneuver away from defenders after making a catch

I think the only beneficial thing you get out of vision is it acts as a catch modifier to improve your chance to catch certain balls. It may help with YAC, but the amount needed to actually make a difference, and for such a small difference makes it worthless for that IMO.

34 vision. He's the only WR on his team that does NOT have soft capped vision.
IMO vision still doesn't do that much. You don't want really LOW vision, but high vision won't make you great.

I had a guy with 60 vision with his WR on my team before.. I didn't see anything difference with my 30 vision WR or my 50. Cept the guy sucked worse.

bort said he made vision more important this season. so don't necessarily judge from what you've seen before. i've seen our high-speed, lower-vision guy whiff on quite a few passes this season that he might have caught before but he didn't seem to be able to adjust well.

I noticed a pretty big difference between softcapped vision and even low 40s vision. You will want to softcap it eventually but I wouldn't go beyond that unless you're making a possession receiver.

I wonder if Bort added the "Bad Throw" text to give you an idea of how many throws vision could make a difference on. If those balls are badly thrown, can you adjust to them with better vision? Would you be able to bring more in with high 1 handed catch?
Hmmm.
