Kickers actually matter.

Punters don't make a difference for the team until level 30+. Kickers do it much earlier.

The best teams depend more on their kickers than their punters.

I don't understand how you define "value"? What does GLB do that suggests kickers have more value?

BTW, I agree with the comments that follow, just don't know the source of the original claim in the OP's title.

The 'value' is the same. Both cost 100fp to create and boost.

I guess, in an evenly matched game I'd expect maybe 4 XPA, 2 FGA, and 7 kickoffs, and possibly 5 punts for the punter.

Arguably, those XPA are gimmes, and all kickers can kickoff far enough, its the special teams tackling that matters, so it comes down to a FG mattering or not...

Where in a close game, punting can make a huge difference with field position. I've definitely won a game due to my punter.

That said, in general yes, kickers are more valuable to a winning team. But, if your team NEVER punts, I say you were so far ahead of the other team, you could have had a level 1 kicker and still won the game.

A good punter is almost as valuable as a dumb QB on the opposing team. Nice series.

Depends on the term "value".
I would say GLB favors punter in that at least punters can see all their plays. You never get to see a field goal or an extra point.

I think they favor kickers because they score points than punters
