I read somewere from a tester that strong base is worthless because it hasnt been working for a while and gives no benifit...anyone else hear that?

I also read somewhere that Strong Base is useless.

Sucks because i got 9 in that and 6 in shed block and it would be reversed if i would have known that before..i think the reason that their not saying anything about it is either its not broken or they cant fix it so there leaving it nefd and not saying anything about it so people dont bitch about wasting their SP on it

Yup was killed somewhere around season 2/3 if i recall correctly...
Was probably overpowerd and then nerfed to oblivion.

Or then again maybe it just never worked...

I invested a bit in it the season they added "Bull Rush" (S4) as it seemed to work for the pre-season and couple games or so of regular season. Something like these:

Then the "Bort:Speed DE's deserve an answer" thread took over and after they fixed the pathing or whatever people were bitching about...I never really saw plays like this again.

I haven't heard it from a tester, and I didn't need to. Strong Base has been worthless for a looooong time.

4th game of season 3. Not sure if it was just strong base nerf though. Basically Bort gave O-linemen a boost to help them push D-linemen when blocking because offenses couldn't do shit in the running game. The effect was that it completely wiped out strength advantages many DTs had and strong base at the same time.

that's a level 12 CPU. Probably just strength difference. Strong Base may help there, but I've seen DTs with over 5 in strong base against OGs with 20 less strength and it didn't do anything.

I'm sure you need more than just high strength and strong base. It probably takes a combination of things to make it effective. What that is remains a mystery.
