Here is what I wrote for that ranking committee, figured I might as well post it here too.
Game 9 Recaps

In the game of the week 1st place and still undefeated Graz Grizzlies topped my (7-2) Bonn Dynamo by a score of 29-21. A good match for both sides, but Graz did all the little things better to win the game: won the TO battle 2-0, consistently got short fields because of the TOs and their return game and ended up kicking 5 FGs to go along with their 2 TDs. Yardage wise these two were dead even.
2nd place (8-1) Paris Dream Bolts continued their roll by demoralizing the (5-4) E-City Mercenaries 33-7. Paris was never threatened and in fact E-City's lone score was a defensive TD. Paris notched 5 sacks, held E-City to 1.8 per rush, and allowed less than 50% passes to be completed. PDB is a force to be reckoned with in Alpha. Unfortunately, PDB is quiet on the forums maybe they'll speak up! They're having a fine season.
4th place (7-2) Woodridge Lumberjacks needed a hugh 4th quarter to win vs a very game (4-5) West Wales Warrior squad in a high scoring affair 41-34. WWW outgained Wujax and led 27-13 entering the final quarter. Wujax outscored WWW 28-7 in the 4th complete the huge comeback. The winning score came with 1:33 left. both teams passed efficiently and ran OK, but Wujax made the plays when they needed them.

Aberdeen Wrecking Crew (6-3) handled the (3-6) Turin THUNDER, 30-10. This game was a tight defensive game, juts like Turin wants, but then the wheels fell off in the 4th quarter and Aberdeen scored 20 points in the 4th quarter. They didn't really lock this game up until late in the 4th and got a tack on score with less than minute to go so it's safe to say this game was closer than the score.
Paris Philharmonic (5-4) got a crucial seed game over the (5-4) Belfast Commandos 27-17, solid win for Paris. Belfast's running game was good but it couldn't bail out their weak passing numbers.
The Lyon Sharks (4-5) got a breather against now slow builders Dinas Mawddwy Red Bandits, 123-3
Black Watch (4-5) defeated last place and winless Team Perkis 23-14
and the London Monarchs had their bye week vs the CPU Aviators and, 255-0
In Zeta, the game of the week was between the undefeated (9-0) Stockholm Meatballs and the (7-2) Grass Roots Divots. Stockholm prevailed 30-20, but don't let that score fool you. The reigning WEPL champs owned this game, outgaining GRD 447-152. GRD's two TDs came on two long fumble returns. Stockholm tallied 7 sacks, held GRD to 0.5 yds per rush and forced 10 punts. GRD may still feeling the hangover of their G8 upset and they didn't truly show up for this one.
Also still undefeated are the (9-0) Black Forest Mercenaries. They held on to defeat the disgruntled (3-6) Dallas Browns 24-23. BFM is led by their stout defense and they didn't disappoint in this one. They held Dallas to 232 total yds, sacked them 3 times, and only allowed the Browns to run 54 offensive plays. BFM's offense did enough to win but didn't shine and one of Dallas' TDs was an interception return. Dallas is a good team despite their record, they're just not getting the breaks this season and are in danger of not making the playoffs.
3rd place (8-1) Korb Destroyers have been in WEPL for a long time and are putting together a fine S8 campaign. They rolled today 42-6 over the (2-7) Lyon Dynasty. Korb dominated this game, outgaining Lyon 512-160. Korb's passing game was the winner here with 374 yds passing while only 138 rushing and a 3.0 avg. Regardless, it's a fine win and keeps them in high standing.
In other Zeta action...
Another good game was (6-3) Antwerp Annihilators defeating the (5-4) London Hitmen 27-23. Antwerp scored the final 17 points of the game. After Antwerp took the lead 24-23 with 1:59 left, London went 4 and out and gave Antwerp the ball back already in FG range with the 1 point lead and 1:32 left. After 1 rush, the Annihilators inexplicably started kneeling down and the Hitmen used their timeouts to get the ball back after Antwerp kicked a FG to go up 4. After 3 successful passes, London fizzled out and with 3 incompletes and a sack on 4th down to seal it for Antwerp. Surely, Antwerp will fix their buggy end game AI.
(6-3) Rivals Mainboard Pimps kept the Sevilla Naranjas winless and in the cellar after beating them 26-3
(5-4) A Team of Ice and Fire look to have things back on track after a shaky start to the season and the beat the (3-6) Cardiff Bluebirds 42-24.
(4-5) Berlin Ballers have passed through their toughest games of the season already and that explains the record. They beat 14th place (1-8) Edinburgh Black Knights 27-12. Berlin's D shined in this one holding Edinburgh to 203 yds and also without an offensive TD.
Lastly, the trash talkin' (4-5) London Rippers lived up their name and tore the (1-8) PPP Longnecks a new one 66-21. The Rippers tallied 600+ yds in the blowout.
