I got +3 agility which is nice in its own right for a DE but is closing speed work for a DE?

I think so, but If I'm not mistaken, the closing speed only works to close the gap and shuts off when the ball carrier is near.. since DEs spend a lot of time close to the ball anyway, it won't work as much as you might think.. It also probably doesn't apply at all to a passing QB since they probably only count forward progress carriers..

It would be okay for backside chasing of a receiver or getting to a RB on the opposite side.. don't think it would help at all with sacks.

secondeye is right, the key is whether the QB counts as a "ball carrier" when he's passing.

I've read that QBs don't count as ball carriers.

It's been confirmed by Bort in another thread. He didn't make QB a call-carrier because that would make the DE with Closing Speed too powerful.
