i want to basically focus on strength and carrying, and get speed up to 50. then basically focus solely on strength and carrying forever. does that work?

Probably not anymore. Since Bort changed the missed tackle -> latch&drag formula broken tackles have severely dropped (at least on all of the HBs I've seen). I don't know what HBs are doing well now, but it's not HBs built around breaking tackles (i.e. super high Strength/Carrying while sacrificing Speed/Agility).

I was going to build a HB the same way, now I'm not so sure, I think now I'm gonna cap speed to 68 first, then agil to 61, followed by strength/carry to 61. Then work on vision, maybe agility to 68, SA's, etc... What do you all think about that?

good start. problem is not really specialized in anything. I think carrying is the key now, but with the new changes, who really knows. It is almost like SA are becoming important for backs again, like in the first 2 seasons. LOL. Your build plan would make for a good back if something becomes over powered again and then you could just focus on that while having high attributes in something everything else. Just my opinion.

Don't do it.

My FB has prolly way more strength and carry than you are thinking about, combined with capped speed and agility, and the results have not impressed. Speed and Agility need to be high if you want to succeed.

Balance is the key

balance will result in a combo back though, I think I'm gonna try a build where I 3 cap carry first, and see how that translates into breaking tackles vs. going 3 cap strength first

look at the test servers. Powerbacks with more carrying break more tackles for an average of more ypc than any other attempt.

But when does the real game get updated? If that's really true, then I'm definitely 3 capping carry first and 2 capping strength

How's that working for ya, you think you could have gotten more yardage and TDs by going with Strength first?

I think strenght is 3, carrying 2. that is a good start. Lb's are going to start pumping strenght to counter, so to be effect you have to still be stronger. Of course when this finally equals out, then the LB's will be slow and elusive backs will have the advantage line in season 1 and 2. Vicious circle.
