I am wondering if what I do is best or if there is a better way to run my special teams units.

For Kick Returns:

LB - LB - TE - FB - TE - FB - LB
------------OT - OT - OT ----------

For Kickoffs:

CB - FS - LB - LB - DE - DE - LB - LB - SS - FS

I think the kickoffs is good, not sure how people do kick returns.

Oh, also, replace the CB "Runny McRunbackersons" with an O-Lineman. I switched our returner with a blocker, and vice versa, to play a gutted team.

Played a gutted team last week, and we returned 20 kicks for a TD....Which fucked our offensive snap count, and XP totals. I guess if you have a halfway decent returner / ST unit, you have to put some slow ass lineman as the returner to get any plays on offense, against a CPU team.

For me it depends on your team and their builds. For return I do:

FB - OT - C - FB - C - OT - TE
----------- DE - DT - DT ---------

Watch your returns and see how the lanes and wedge form up, and see if it makes sense.

For me I like the Wedge guys to be strong and not so quick they get ahead of the returner. The guy in between the two Centers on my depth needs to be quick enough to get back and help the wedge since his assignment is the kicker and any decent returner will beat him pretty easily making his role pretty useless otherwise. The rest of them should form up like an inverted V.

That makes sense. Good thinking.
