It may sound odd but before assiging my last 5 SP's (all in vision) it was all good...not perfect as he would be slow on some plays, but pitches and sweeps he would hit the hole running. I dump +5 into vision, and the above is what happens in his first game. There were others, but this was the worst so it is a good one to discuss.

Any tips on suggestions? Right now I would like to fix the hesitation issues, but if you have overall HB build advice I am all ears on that as well.

Thanks!

Are you running him on Super Elusive???

He is running at 75...that is a great point, as this was adjusted after last game as he was at 70 where he was for the last 4 games or so. The game log indicates better performances at this level, and I know from watching film the hesitation was NOT this bad.

I have read on other threads that confidence should be approximately equal to vision, and that agility should be much higher than vision. Do you think it would help to train confidence up to where his vision is, and then focus on building agility more?

I was building a balanced back simply because I couldn't figure out whether to go elusive or power, and our team has two elusives so I am going to gravitate more to power and emulate a runner such as Okoye; nimble enough to make the first and second guy miss and strong enough to run over the next 4 would be tacklers.

apparently too much vision can be a bad thing. Your RB is now indecisive about hitting the hole.

It's always nice to be balanced. Whatever kind of HB you are trying to build be balanced in his SP distribution and he the mistakes and funny plays will suddenly disappear.

It's not a 'too-high' vision problem. My HB has 35 vision, running on Super Elusive and has, to my knowledge, never done anything like that. Maybe the problem is that with only 24 vision he was too indecisive about whether to hit the outside or hit that massive hole in front of him. With 19 vision he may not have even seen any holes that appear on the inside and just continued on the set course, hitting the outside. Once you bumped up his vision a little, the hole came into his 'vision cone' or whatever you want to call it and got confused about what to go for. At the moment at level 13 I wouldn't worry too much about vision, just pump speed/agility/strength up and train vision till it hits around 35. Then when your done getting speed/agility/strength to whichever caps you want, I would cap vision to 48.

Just wondering, based solely off that replay you provided and your description of how he plays different.
Did the bump to Vision allow him to "see" the SS,when before he didn`t?
He seems to be locked in to an "elusive" battle with the SS before he decides to turn out side and go.

vision is not bad for an elusive if its second capped no hesitation and he hits the right hole. Vision between 40 and 56 gimps your player. I made a vision HB (my only HB) and the stats since coming out of the D leagues have been very good and consistent.

Vision was the first thing i capped. Then speed, then agility, then speed to second cap, then agility to second, then speed to third, then vision to second then agility to third (still working on that). Next season its gonna be vision to third and conf to first.

I will prove that 80/80 speed agility coupled with lots of vision and confidence will make a "can't miss" back.
