As those of you who have done any scouting at all know, French Lick is slow building and consequently is not running an offense this season. In order to get all your players XP, it is recommended you put your defensive players on special teams, and favor subs.

Thats all cool that you post this for the teams to know what to expect, but why not put you D players on the O to?

I could, but as I am not running an O, what good would that do?

PS - I'm sorry for neglecting to post this until now. I had fully intended to, and it slipped my mind. I apologize to anyone who feels they were slighted in our game.

Because it wouldn't screw with everyone else and your guys would still get max XP. As a moderator you should be more fair to the game and the people who pay money to play it. My defensive players didn't get any experience for that game we played against you. It is not as easy to just reset your entire DC for one game and redo all of your energy settings. I don't waste time scouting teams that are terrible, there is no reason to do it when I know it is going to be a blowout, I just make sure guys are going to play enough so I set the energy settings and let things happen.

I think you should rethink your strategy as a Moderator of this game. If a bad team did that to you and kicked a FG everytime and your defensive players got no XP you wouldn't like it. Football is a game with Offense, Defense and Special Teams if Bort and the rest of the crew think that cheating the game to build up your team is the way to play then maybe I should rethink where I spend my money. I understand slow building, but at the same time there should be a level of competition to the game. What you are doing is basically buying a better player and cheating the system. While it is not against the rules to have a farm team the way you are going about it is pretty crappy. You should have your players on both O and D because the error for my defensive team was me, the owner and the other GMs but you screwed guys who couldn't do anything about it because they are not GMs of the game and now have some unhappy customers.

By the way, the first game of the season you did run an O and all of your human players got over 50 snaps but you saw that your guys that got over 100 snaps got much more exp so you changed it up for the second game. So you didn't start screwing teams until the second game of the season. So even though the second team you played may have scouted you they still got screwed. That is just bad business and poor judgment on your part and a moderator of the game should know better.

As soon as Bort implements a slow build league or anything of that sort, I will be volunteering to move my team there. In fact, the season before I started slow building, this team won several playoff games and was promoted to A2, but I declined the promotion out of fairness. However, this is as far as my team can fall and Bort has not yet made a league or a place for teams like mine. I and many other slow build owners have encouraged him to do so.

Until the time I have a place to take this team, I am forced to keep it here. I apologize if you do not like the way I run my team, but what I am doing is within the rules of the game and I have warned you all how to avoid any detrimental effect on your team. The only further thing I could to is to cease to run my team in the rule-abiding way I am currently running it just because you guys don't like it, which is frankly something that nobody who pays flex for a team should have to do, admin moderator or otherwise. I realize you don't like what I'm doing but there is no rule against it. Run your team and I will run mine.

PS - to the extent that you say I screwed you because you couldn't do anything about it, I reject that. You yourself said you don't scout terrible teams. That is a choice you've made and a bad one at that. A decent owner will scout every team no matter how bad, even if he only gives them 5 minutes to make sure they're not doing anything fluky. The well-run teams I am on scout every gutted team without exception. I am not going to sit here and listen to you pretend that I'm screwing teams and there's nothing they can do about it, because that's absolutely false. When I was trying to win I scouted all gutted teams. Hell, I scouted these guys: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=150222

You did screw the second team you played no matter how you want to spin it. They could have scouted you all they wanted and they never would have known you were going to play those tactics. I never said it was against the rules, I just said it was a scummy thing to do. I still think it is.

It is not false that you are screwing players. Players that are not GMs have no control over the settings and can not reset the depth chart, so yes you are screwing them.

So you are basically saying FU to all of the teams in the league. Every team has to adjust their whole roster to the stupid settings you have that have nothing positive for the game so your players can get max XP. You obviously have no regard for anyone other than yourself. You could accomplish the same by putting all of your guys on O and D and still keep the game somewhat interesting.

The second team =/= all the teams in the league. That second team had no chance to anticipate my settings. The rest of the teams, including yours, do not have that excuse. You should have scouted. If you did not scout, YOU screwed the players on your team not I. I included the link where I scouted the Shockers, even though they were a shitty ass team at the time and we knew we would crush you. It's your job as an owner/GM to scout, if you slack that is not my responsibility. I have gone beyond my responsibility in making this thread to put the remaining teams on notice so that nobody will be harmed by my team's actions.

I will not discuss my own strategies for my team; suffice to say, if you think playing players on both sides of the ball would accomplish the same objectives, you are misguided.
