eric stratton rush chairman (as those of you who read this forum know) has ben my experiment in either De-Nerfing or Lessening-the-Nerf against DEs.

he's level 33 and in his first two games since his most recent build-alteration he's gotten 10 sacks and 5 hurries against comparably leveled LTs.

but this one sack preformance (in his 3rd game since the most recent change)is what i'm most pleased with:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=418803

i had expected a total pancake-fest on me since i was squaring off against a LT fully 16 levels higher than eric stratton rush chairman.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=418803&pbp_id=6206435

eric stratton rush chairman only got 2 tackles, 1 sack and 1 hurry...but it was a level 33 DE vs a level 49 LT.

it seems that my monster has returned.

Dude, its Canadian BBB league, anyone with a decent build can sack there. My level 34 DE has 29 sacks in Canadian BBB league through 5 games and likely will surpass 100 sacks on the year.

If you have a DE that can get sacks in AAA or Pro, I will be impressed then.

It also seems like a straight agility/speed sack. Considering agility/speed was good before the nerfs, I'm guessing this sack wasn't at all related to whatever you changed to de-nerf DEs.

imo, i see a good takeoff, good speed, nice shed block, nice direction change...lots of things all happened before the QB could get rid of it.

impressed?

you mean like your 20 sacks against teams that you beat by a combined 400-0 score?
your 3 against a lead-legged RT 8 levels lower than your guy? (only 3 on that stiff? wtf?)
your 5 against a disgracefull pair of RTs who've given up more than 20 other than your 5?

no...

If YOU get a DE that can get sacks against a Tackle 16 levels above your DE...we'll all be impressed. We won't hold our breath for that...

I question whether he actually shed the block, or if the OT just didn't have the agility to match the direction change.

EDIT: It's a good sack, don't get me wrong. I'm just a little skeptical that it was for reasons other than the standard agility/speed. I'd really need to hear the gist of what is new about your build to know for certain.

could be right.

either way, it's takeoff, acceleration, speed, keeping the block off him and a quick direction change...all before the throw.

First of all, I never said anyone should be impressed with my DE in BBB league, you were the one that is impressed with your 11 sacks in BBB league.

my level 34 DE has gotten sacks against everyone in his Canadian BBB league as he should including 3 against a level 40 tackle. I am saying to you that 11 sacks in BBB league is not impressive.

You had games against level 32 starters where you were shut out, not to mention you didnt even get cheap sacks against their backups.

BBB leagues are full of bad builds and CPU teams.

most recent changes occurred after eric stratton rush chairman got shut out in games 1 & 2 under a previous configuration.

the configuration he's got now looks like a winner.

i won't have any more good data till 2 games from now (up against a lvl 18 next game), but it's clear that your DE couldn't carry eric stratton rush chairman's gymbag.

(and there's no way that you've had over 40 requests for your guy's build)

Dude where did I say I have had requests for my build? Again, I have not asked anyone to be impressed with my DE. He is only taking down whats put in front of him, whether thats level 9 or level 40. I cant control what my opponent puts in front of me.

So you are declaring your boy a champ over 3 games? Nice

-your lvl 34 DE had a game against level 4s where your team ran up the score to 255-0.
-they passed 106 times (106 opportunites for a sack)
-your lvl 34 DE got 1 sack out of 106 chances against these chumps
-here's your DE getting schooled by a lvl 4 Tackle: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=417613&pbp_id=2852466

probably you should just retire him and start over.

let me know if you need any good build tips.

Ha! you shouldnt be giving out build advice.

Level 40 OT http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=446317&pbp_id=182421
Level 40 OT http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=446317&pbp_id=187762
Level 40 OT http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=446317&pbp_id=188638

Notice none of them are coverage sacks like your level 48 OT was. The credit should go to your CB's on that sack.

big deal, they are computerized players, they play the same intensity regardless of whether its a scrimmage, regular season or playoff game. lol

on the level 4, it was 242-0 at that point of the game...looking at his lack of speed, I would say he was out of breath most of the game. He was only in all 147 defensive plays of that game. Our offense had the ball only 52 snaps and we scored 350 points in that game.

so by your own logic...the Tackle is out of breath too then right?

so 1 sack in 106 opportunites in a regular season game against a guy 30 levels lower than your DE.

how's the fail-shame over there Maxx?
