Has anyone experimented with the effects of high blocking(>60) on a DT? I'm especially interested in results from someone who has high Strength and Agility on top of the Blocking.

60+?you high?
I got 25 and well, couldn't tell if it helps, but it sure doesn't hurt the cause.

Hahaha not high, just very curious. I have a theory that higher blocking on a defender helps to negate a portion of the O Lineman's blocking total when the sim makes a block check.

Not exactly an original theory around here, and the consensus is that blocking is a marginal to poor investment of training, and a terrible wast of actual SPs.

Since my theory is not original, someone must have made a DT that meets the above specifications. I would like to hear from whoever that may be. If nobody has bothered to try then the consensus is irrelevant. Getting the stat near or to the softcap is hardly a rigorous test. And considering that few agents, if any, have a highly successful season 8 DT build, I'd argue that EVERYTHING past the basic core attributes is a marginal to poor investment of training, and a terrible waste of actual SPs.

As much as the sim seems to change from year to year, I completely agree.

I actually am going to be making 6 DTs around day 21-24 of this year. 3 NT's and 3 balanced / pass rushing DT's. 1 of each will be the standard cookie cutter builds the other 2 will have different levels of blocking to see if there is any kind of improvement with blocking.
