Does anyone have any points in the VA: Motivational Speaker? How many, and does it seem to be helping out your team?

Our kicker has 10 but its tough to tell how much it helps since we haven't really had a close game this season.

My punter on my own team has 15. No idea if it helps or is even activated at all.

I saw a message circulated before that was saying that everyone in the team should put 2 VA into Motivational Speaker so that it would have a 97% chance of getting activated or something like that. I never saw the actual thread where the discussion took place though, so I'm a little confused.
IS the quality of the pep talk / morale boost the same if you have 2points in it or 15? If so I can understand the idea of having everyone put 2 points into it, but, what if only 80% of your team follows that instruction, would that be as effective as having one punter or kicker loaded up on it? If anyone has a link to that thread I'd really like to understand the argument. I've got 10VA and am tempted to put them into something punter specific like Nail in Coffin, because this season most of my punts are coming from within OPP40.

If you're punting within OPP40 just have the OC go for it on 4th down more.
That topic is too far for me to find, but I can confirm if 80% of your team has 2 motivational speaker it will still go off 90%+ of the time. It was like 99.5% if everybody has it though.
Quality is always the same, it is either "yes or no."
Have to ask, is 15 in the P a lighter cost than 30 players with 2 each? I tried to get my team on board but it's hard with half the team inactive.

The thread was excellent, with an analysis at the end that showed how to get to 99%+ chance of triggering on each play. The most efficient (i.e. the least number of total VA points used) is if 4 people put 15 points into it vs. 50 people putting 2 points into it. With the punter and kicker on the bench the most, this theory would suggest that having them max on MotSpe would be ideal.
Just my 2cents

4 ppl on bench with 15 = 1-(1-.75)^4 = .996
50 ppl with 2 = 1-(1-.1)^50 = .995
Yeah interesting, you just need to find 4 players willing to put the points in.
The second kicker is having the players high enough of a level to PUT 15 in. You can all put 2 in at level 25. Not until level 40 have you gained the ability nor the veteran points to apply 15 into motivational speaker.
If your team rarely punts, I'd definitely invest 15 in MS though. Personally I find a good punter can win a championship. My team saw it a few seasons ago, their average starting position was around the 10 yard line.

This proof that was done, was it based on some actual game data/knowledge or is it just a theoretical calculation? Because the way I read the description, each player with 2 in MS has a 10% chance of triggering it, if the previous player did not. So with 40 guys on the bench, P1 gets his 10% chance, if he fails P2 has a chance all the way until P40 or until one Player makes a successful role. So while theoretically it is probable that one guy of the 40 will make the role it is also quite possible that none will, since each role is independent of the previous one, isn't it?
It's like the guy that flips a coin 10 times, and the first 9 times it lands on heads. The odds for the 10th flip of getting a tails don't change any even though the guy has been hitting heads previously.

Bort confirmed the logic in the thread. The rolls ARE independent, but with so many people rolling, the chance that just one of them fires ends up being very very high.

Did he? I know I was wondering exactly how that VA worked. Does it choose from everyone on the bench with MS, start from number 1 and go down the list? Or does it take just one person with MS, if they don't activate it that play, no one else can?

Bort confirmed the former. What he refused to tell us was whether it's the same thing to have a guy with 2 in MS fire, or a guy with 15.

Who knows how big the morale increase is, like if it's the same as what a team gets for a completed pass or a one-handed catch, but there is nothing in the description to suggest that having 15 in MS would give you more of a morale increase than having 2 in MS, and having it work.
