From what I read play focus only controls where your LBs stand. If you want them to blitz do you need to move them up close (via play focus) or will they do that automatically if you set them to blitz? Or is it better to leave them back and let their vision find the best place to blitz through?

Yeah, oddly enough, you normally want "run" focus, whether you're run blitzing or pass blitzing. Neat, huh?

But that would affect all the LBs and if you are only blitzing one or two I guess ya just gotta choose?

Yup.

When the LBs are set to Run focus, there are very close to the line. When they blitz, they sometimes get caught up on the DL and don't blitz well and if the O runs a sweep they also usually get stuck or blocked out of the play.

Sometimes balanced focus works pretty well with blitzing and also trying to contain the run for LBs who are not blitzing.
