Title says it all. With equipment. I can go either of the 3 routes. Right now I'm at 72/72 with equipment. Whats the best tactic for Season 8 so far. 80/60 spd/agil. or 70/70 or 60/80?

Thanks
Josh

100 speed, 70 agility will do well
throw in good amount of First Step and Tunnel Vision and you have a productive DE

not in the higher divisions. don't want to give my build away, but my higher level DE with over 100/70 and plenty of FS/TV has been under performing.

well in higher divisions you will need higher speed that that
you have to adjust it to the leagues
as you get higher its going to get harder to beat OT though
they make up ground much faster than we gain ground

they only need some 65 agility and 60 speed to contain DE while we need speed/agi pushing 110 at high levels

and FYI, my De found SA Pro to be much tougher than SA AAA...

I agree. I've put up some numbers though.

no offense man, I respect your DE's, but Elton got 16 of 17 sacks in a 320-0 game. The other two games you were slowed down.

You do have a solid DE...but the blocking at SA Pro is at another level that SA AAA...just saying since my DE made that jump last season...

As I would expect it to be, as it's a league higher. I'm just annoyed that Bort is looking to make it more realistic, so DEs no longer put up 100 sacks a season, but HBs can still run for 7k+ yards.

Yeah, realism only applies to DEs. Ridiculous.

Define production? I have several DEs on the 2 teams I GM with those builds and they aren't all that productive in terms of sacks.

100 speed, 70 agility build becomes less responsive at higher levels. just look at julius as a prime example.

has to be more to your build than that or it will backfire once you get higher.

True. Once again I feel like I'm keep repeating myself but people need to remember this is a game of Algorithm, not straight math equations. Your various numbers, SAs, and VAs play off one another. You may caught Bort off with a bad algorithm that unevenly has a given or two attributes to be pre-dominant (like Power Backs), however, for DEs Bort has "nerf" the algorithm so much that focusing on a few (spd, agi, FS, TV) doesn't help you if you don't have other attributes, SAs, and VAs to support it.

Anyway, it really depends on where you are and what lvl competition are you playing against.

But for the sake of argument, if your DE is around lvl 35-45 your numbers should look like this to be productive:

Spd and Agi at least 75-80
Vision at least capped at 48
Stamina at least 7+ your level
Strength at least 60
Confidence at least 35 (still debatable here)
First Step at least 7, prefer 10
Tunnel Vision at least 7, prefer 10
Shed Block at least 5, prefer 7, ideally 10
Wall 5
Strong Base 5
VA ability: Jump the Snap, max it ASAP
VA ability2: you may try to max out Quick, Track Star, or Clutch next, I prefer Clutch as it gives an overall boost in clutch situations and not just a single attribute boost.
