He has v high agi and high speed, I had intended to cap Vision (33) next, but I'm unsure as to how much it will help him with the snap delay they introduced back in November. Wondering whether I should go First Step (currently at 2) instead.

Thoughts appreciated. Particularly if you've been in the same position recently

lots of people will tell you vision to 48
they are right in part
you dont need to get vision all the way to the softcap. 40-43 is quite good


First step is probably the best SA for a speed rushing DE right now

Quite good when you get to play against CPUs every other game...

If your FS is at 2 you definitely need to up that to at least 5, preferably 7, and ultimately 10.

I agree, work them both up, I'd do vision first since you might get some tiny level up bonus for it.

acceleration has nothing to do with opposition though

those sacks came against an OT 1 level higher than me, a human OT

I was referring to the vision comment.

btw that was from a game where your team won by 80 something points... I don't doubt the negative morale from the blowout was a huge factor

i got the first sack when it was 7 to 3

And the other two when you were up 50.

I'm not really trying to argue, I just don't think that's a good sample size in regards to vision. Should wait a few games.

but vision is about getitng a normal get off
not about whether or not you get a sack
all you need for this is to look at the first few ticks of ANY play and you will see whether or not you need an increase in vision.

Point taken, but vision is not just about how quickly you get off the line. Even before the vision check, vision was a part of the block-breaking algorithm.

I'd say the consenses is that both vis and first step will be a move in the right direction, but with vision you'll still get a bonus for leveling, so I still feel that vision is the one to pay attention to first.
