So I'm at a point with my punter where I don't know what to do next. I'm done touching punting and confidence for good, and while I aim to cap agility, I want to train it more for now because it still pays off there so well and after it I won't have very good training options. I'm having good success with my build and I don't want to screw it up now.

My dilemma is whether to bring strength or vision to 61 first. Vision moves the punting bar more, but from what I've seen, strength is still a big factor in punting it deep. My last game I had all deep punt situations and did pretty poorly, while my coffin corners are usually long and accurate, making me wonder if I need more vision at this point. But at the same time, I don't know if it helps accuracy as well. Strength has little influence on the punting bar but I still think it plays a pretty significant part in distance.

What say you?

I like Vision first, but agree with you...I'm seeing some pretty nice averages for punters with 70 strength...

I should also mention that my team is outmatched in this league after being upgraded, so I expect lots of deep punts this season.

Definitely leaning towards strength for now, but it's a tough call...

This question still stands for me, and I'm still unsure which is going to be better. Anyone have an opinion? Strength or Vision? Octowned's experiment proved Vision affects the punting bar, but also showed Strength affects average punting distant from deep more. Who has an opinion on this?

Good team: vision
Bad team: strength
Average team: see-saw them?

The natural gains are so low that rushing one up really is irrelevant. You get +1 SP per 10 levels, so unless you're going to barely miss the decimal cross-over because of see-sawing, odds are you'll literally lose nothing, anyway, by waiting a bit longer for the first cap.

True about natural gains, but I'm looking for what to do on my next 3 level boost... guess I should go based on my team, then. I guess the problem is that I was looking to cap agility before double-capping the second one. Maybe that's not even a good idea.

I'd go for Vis..you can always use the new slider if you want more distance.

Vision or maybe agility.

Going strength. Even a good team needs to punt from midfield or further every once in a while. I just don't see 8 more vision getting me more than one less touchback per season...

Based on what you described I'd go with Strength for now, and if you have touchback problems just move the tactics slider more towards hang time. I'd also ignore Agility for now too and just train it.
