I just created this DE, with the hopes of slowbuilding him into a sackmaster a few seasons down the road. I was just looking for some advice as to which stats to raise first. Some places I've looked have said that strength and agility should come first, others saying that speed and agility should come first. My guy is 280lbs, so I'm thinking maybe if I can raise strength first, I can generate enough force at the point of attack to bullrush the tackle. Does this make sense? I guess the alternative would be to simply use speed and agility to get by the tackle. Should I just pick one direction to go in and stick to it, or should I give equal time to all three attributes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

couple of things to say here:
1.If you want to be a pass rusher, you probably want to go for speed and agility. The thing is, you already have such high strength (I assume you didnt put any points into it) that you may wanna consider putting points into strength and agility instead, and then become a bullrusher. I don't know how effective bullrushing is because most people who play this game go for speed/agility and evasive passrushing.
2.Most teams will consider putting you at LDE since you have such high strength. LDE are more suited for stuffing the run, while RDE are pass rushers. THat doesnt mean you wont get sacks, but you might not get as many as you want.
3.I think you should just devote your early SP to 2 attributes until you've at least pumped them both to 61, then you can put SP into other stuff.

I'd say you get more sacks from LDE as you aren't up against LOTs and their Protect SA.

I keep hear people say this, but like I said on my team the LDE has a better build then my RDE and I get more sacks then him (and more tackles.)

I suspect (from watching the replays as I am also the DC) it's because when teams set to have TE/HB/FB to pass block, they almost always block the LDE rather than the RDE. I have watched our team's LDE constantly gets double and sometimes triple team in obvious passing situations.

Strength is useless as a pass rusher other than not getting pancaked. If you are good enough you wont even touch the OT so you wont get pancaked.

But who knows, maybe bort will super bortify strength builds and you will buttsecks everyone like powerbacks do now

perhaps Im in the minority but I think DEs without str should be a weak point on the line and should get run at every time and get run straight over. If you are on the line, your primary objective is to stop the run, even RDE have to be able to do that.

Your primary objective is to do what you're on the line for. If you're a pass specialist, it's get to the QB. If you're an every-downs end, it's stop the run. It's whatever.

Any luck against human players yet?

And you can stop the speculation. I have two DEs built exactly the same in pertinent areas, if anything the RDE is slightly better, but the LDE has vastly out-produced him for two, going on three seasons... three different teams, both on the same team each time. They both break blocks, but the LDE always beats him there.

i haven't played a game against any human teams yet, but i built this player along with a linebacker for the purpose of getting a team of slowbuilds together with a few friends. we don't expect to be any good for a couple seasons, but i'm going to try and slowbuild him as much as i can so we can be as good as possible 3 or 4 seasons down the road.

See my post about my recent domination of a human level 41 player.

But you can keep racking up sacks against gutted OTs and be impress with your sack numbers. Also, you got it right to keep your players in non competitive league so you can rack up numbers.
