Warrior General Games

From what I can tell, most times the TE is guarded by either the LOLB or the SS. What is a solid way of guarding a TE on a team where he tends to be the dominant receiver? I'd appreciate any feedback you may give. I think that play you linked is one way NOT to combat it.......

TE in uncovered in cover 2

if you call cover 1, at least an SS will be in his grill

Cover 1 or Cover 0, don't blitz LOLB or SS should double the TE

+1 to the Cover 1 scheme.

LOLB takes him off the line and the SS doubles while in route.

Lol. Dont blitz AND play cover 2.

It's a give/take sort of thing. The right cover3 or cover1 works. Even cover0. Cover2 will cover as well. Just work it out and see which one you like best. The most effective way is up in the air. You have to have particular settings in each formation to make them work.

There are some zones to look at there as well.
