Haha I remember Tim Dog. What a loser (I'm from LA).
Ask someone who he is now, and nobody will know. But they will know Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop, etc.
He made his (sad) career off hating on a city

I'm from Long Beach
Supposedly Dre is from Compton, but he worked with a lot of Long Beach artists like Snoop, Kurupt, Daz, Bad Azz, Warren G, Crooked I, etc.
Also I love that song haha. Eazy and Dre beefed, but I liked both, and it spawned a lot of good music.

I grew up on West Coast rap, and there's nothing like driving around on a sunny southern california day blasting California rap. A New Yorker wouldn't understand

I listen to all kinds of rap though...East, West, Midwest, South. Mainstream, underground...you name it...I probably have it.

For the most part the same with me. Growing up and living in NYC I have always had more of a liking for the east coast stuff though. I don't know a whole lot of underground stuff but one of my favorites is Jedi Mind Tricks.
