And by "delect" I of course mean deflect...

Is there any information about how a deflect ball % interacts with the swat ball ability?

I have an NT who got a piece of AE with+3 strength and 3% deflect ball which I bought as the three strength was pretty good and the deflect ball I didn't pay much attention to.

I have now invested 32 bonus tokens in it so it has +7 strength and deflect ball 11% and he has two SP's in Swat Ball which were there purely to get to strong base, but I'm now thinking about how he could become a ball swatting NT with a little more investment on swat ball and jumping but don't know enough about how the % deflection chance affects swat ball. Any ideas?

Swatting the ball and deflecting the ball are the same thing. They both involve a player touching the ball and hopefully causing an incomplete pass. deflect ball % and swat ball both make it more likely that the player will touch the ball in such a way as to possibly alter it's path and possibly cause an incomplete pass, which is one of the goals of a defensive lineman.

If you'll train your jumping up (I do it with strength) You'll see an increase of passes swatted down at the line. My NT had 9 last year, it was sweet, and he's also only got that 2 in Swat Ball like you (I might add more though)

Batting down a ball @ the LOS is actually a pretty badass play. It's the same result as if your DT/NT stuffs the RB for no gain: loss of down, no yardage improvement.

I'm also wondering if it would have an effect on QB morale? It must be pretty dispiritng to see your perfect spiral pass get batted out of the air by a D lineman!

It's hard to get the base percentage up high (would have to train jumping up >20) but it could be useful, even if you do it once a game it can make a difference.
