In pro formation, the FB keeps sneaking out and does not appear to be covered. We run basic 4-3.

I'm not sure, but it could be that MLB takes the FB over the HB. I do know that only the MLB or ROLB will cover a HB, so if you blitz the ROLB, and the FB goes on a route, the MLB takes him, leaving nobody to cover the HB. Kind of broken, really. It's dumb that the LOLB won't cover the HB no matter what. (He'll double the TE with the SS, but won't cover the HB)

I do know that only the MLB or ROLB will cover a HB, so if you blitz the ROLB, and the FB goes on a route, the MLB takes him, leaving nobody to cover the HB. Kind of broken, really. In a 3-1, I know the MLB will cover the TE, and a CB will cover the HB.

Well, yeah, but as far as LBs go, the LOLB won't touch the damn HB, which was my point.
I think a CB will cover anyone - as long as they aren't already covered. (Their first double assignment is a WR, as it should be, of course)

Mostly I think the progression is switched int he pro set. Usually you get the Rolb on the FB and the MLB on the HB. When it comes to pro set, the HB lines up under the ROLB's side so I am guessing that bort tweaked the LB AI to switch the progression of the ROLB to HB first and MLB to FB first.
The LOLB won't cover the HB in man. I made a lengthy suggestion about progressions a while back and took as far as thought it would go. Hopefully Bort intends to give you the discretion to decide progressions for yourself when the D play creator gets implemented.
