This has been a rumor for awhile but I have seen zero evidence that points to carrying as a catalyst for breaking tackles. If it is true can you please post some evidence. I want to know due to some fumbling issues and if carrying has no other purpose I am just going to use the cover up sa

It helps, but things like Strength/SAs/VAs are much more important. Carrying also helps the Cover Up SA, so if you have a lot of points in Cover Up and low Carrying, you could still fumble. Get Carrying to the soft cap and you should be fine.

The requirements for YAC Attack is 40 carrying. That's the only "proof" I've seen that carrying is a component of breaking tackles.

Bort has said it himself. And I've tested a few low level players with high carrying and low strength. They break some tackles, but nothing like if they were to stack strength.
