I don't have a clue how to train a TE. I am going to make one but what do I train?

You want to start with catching/vision. Those are your only 2 relevant major attributes, so you will want to softcap those first.

Agreed. Up through level 21, you're getting +.5 increase in your majors (strength, blocking, vision, catching) with every level up. You're only getting negligable returns of +.16 in the minors (speed, agility, stamina, confidence, carrying, tackling).
It just makes sense to go with the majors first. Speed and agility can wait.

Yeah, don't make the same mistake I did. I started slowbuilding a receiving TE before I truly knew what I was doing. A lot of people will tell you to go after speed and agility first. Don't listen to them, they are wrong. Take catching and vision to the softcap, I recommend taking catching to the 3:1 as well, then go after speed and agility like crazy.

Thanks very much! So I will try and get the stats rolling to vision and catching. Then put the skill points on to them right.. then once they are soft capped I get speed and agility to the soft cap?

This isn't actually that necessary. Catching should be soft capped first without a doubt. Then you have to ask yourself where you want your other stats to end up, I'm perfectly happy with vision at the soft cap so it isn't critical to softcap it asap. I'm also happy with catching in the 55-ish range so I don't plan to get that to the 3-1 cap either.
Speed and agility are by far the most important stats for a receiving tight end, and are the only skills you need to get to the 4-1 cap. Don't be afraid to pump them after catching.
I mean, if you want 60 vision go ahead and soft cap it. But i'd rather take the smaller leveling bonus in speed or agility.

I'd say go to catching instead, but I don't know what you've trained and how much or if you've spend the initial 15 SP.
