Bandar Lampung will represent Southeast Asia Pro League in the First Annual Tournament of Champions, due to the folding of Ho Chi Mean.

Format: Double-Elimination

Prizes:

Winning Team - GLB Tournament of Champions Trophy for team profile page
Winning Team - $50,000 Game Cash for each player on roster
Winning Team - MVP Trophy for one player's profile page. To be selected by the board.
Winning Team - Awarded Initial Pro-League Traveling Trophy (See bottom of page)
2nd Place Team - $25,000 Game Cash for each player on roster

TRAVELING TROPHY

There will be three traveling trophies. These are separate from the tournaments, but will initially be decided in one.

Think Boxing/Wrestling. You will earn this trophy, but if you lose in a sanctioned friendly, the trophy will be stripped from your profile page, and added to the profile page of the new champion.

- Three Divisions: Pro Leagues, AA-AAA, BBB-A (To be named later - add suggestions below)
- Must be defended every 10 GLB Days (ex: Defended day 38, must again be defended by day 8 of next season)
- All defenses must be approved by the Board (No picking cupcakes).
- If you promote out of the division, you will be stripped and a tournament will be held to decide a new champion.

Anybody else think the traveling trophy is more trouble than it's worth?

as long as it does not turn into boxing with teams ducking real competition and only playing tomato cans in the the 'sanctioned' matches.

I promise this will not happen. I'm still working on the rules with the board, but there will be several things in place to make sure every deserving team has a shot.

Example: It cannot be defended in the same region twice in a row, and may not be defended in one region more than twice until it has beend defended against the others.

So, let's say the Benitos win it. They could defend it as follows:

USPL, SAPL, USPL, CPL, CPL, SAPL - but then they would be forced to go outside those three regions, and cannot return to them until the other five get a defense. And, the defenses must be approved. So, we will review the team they pick before hand. If it's a 0-16 team - no go. Strength of conference, friendly results, etc will bge weighed in the decision.

What's to stop them from challenging a team like Nintendo Power, The Guild, or HCMHM?

I have to disagree with you one that. Is it because you guys did not beat them as bad as YOU thought you should? What is for all the negative to TKW?
