This is from a post I made in the private cb forum. Just follow what I have planned for him.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1259811

Next season I will start building the third, and most likely final, version of my shutdown corner: Yes Man. I started this game by creating the first version about halfway through season one. Four seasons ago I used the knowledge gain from building Yes Man and started building Yes Man: The Massacre as a slowbuild cb. Now I will use the knowledge from building him to build an even better slowbuild cb. I am going to keep his build open for at least the first three seasons so that everyone can see how he progresses. I want to use this thread to keep everyone updated with my plans and in order to get feedback from everyone here on where you think I should go.

The plan: I just rolled him with all 8s in the unnecessary attributes, 17 in speed, and 15 in agility. I will start by training speed on normal. This way I can get it soft capped as fast as possible while storing up shopping tokens in order to buy AE once he gets to level 30 or so. Right now I'm debating whether to train it to 30 before soft capping or to soft cap it as soon as possible. I will do the math once I get to the point where I can soft cap it and do what gives me the best use of my sps. After soft capping speed I will start training agility and vision. I will train agility to 30 while getting speed to the 61 or 68 cap. After that I will train vision and jumping while capping agility, then training jumping and strength while capping vision. By then I should be around level 30 and will make a decision on where to go.

If anyone has any comments on if this is the best path to go, feel free to leave them here. If not, I will update occasionally. Hopefully this will help people looking to build a cb and just be fun to watch him progress.

I too, am slowbuilding a CB. Highest I could roll was 16/16 Speed/Vision, then I got too bored to reroll. Training speed on normal, around how many shopping tokens will you have stored up?

My advice would be as follows -

Don't bother with advanced EQ for a corner, none so far have been decent enough.

Train speed and agility to 30 in each - so train on intense together. When this reaches 30 you should have enough skill points from leveling and the temporary boosts to take speed and agility up to 68 in each. If you don't have enough SP to do this, keep going and just keep on putting it in until you reach this goal.

Switch the training then to jumping and vision and train that to 30 in each (or roughly that).

When you have got 68 in speed and agility, if you want to boost him, do so, but at the end of that particular season, but keep the SP... do not spend it yet.

When jumping/vision get to 30 each. Spend the SP you have and bring vision up to the 61 cap, and jumping to the same if you can... just keep putting the SP in there.

Keep boosting at the end of every season.

The next training to go to after jumping/vision would be tackling and strength together. Get this to 30 in each. When you have, don't increase the strength at all with SP. Just get tackling up to 49 eventually.... but if you're still working on getting jumping and vision to 61 in each, make that your priority.

At this point you should also be thinking about SA's. Your custom EQ should be in the shutdown corner tree. You want to get first step and change direction eventually to 3 or 4. In the shutdown corner abilities really you want to be at least at 3-3-5-3-5 eventually. Some people will say more... well, we'll see.

Then training will go to stamina and confidence. Get this to 30, then switch to catching and carrying for a while. Go back to stamina and confidence as you will be pretty much training this for the rest of the player's career!

Your equipment... well speed and agility are priorities. By the time you're at level 48, you want to have speed of 91 and agility of 80 in my opinion. You don't really need equipment in any other area.

But hey, this is all just what I personally think.
