My DE is built more like an LDE so I requested owner put him on the two-deep there rather that RDE. My question is, will the aura still be of a benefit if he's not constantly nearer in the QB?

Aura of Intimidation is a LB SA that decreases the resist tackle of the player you're trying to tackle. I believe this SA is booster by your CON stat. It has nothing to do explicitly with the QB.

Thanks, but...it "will reduce moral of opposing player within a certain radius..." I know it doesn't have anything to do explicitly with the QB, but because my player is a DE in GLB--DE's sole job is to lower QB's moral--the QB is my primary nearly all I care about. It's the only reason I'm wearing Aura of Intimidation at all. I'm thinking strong side is going to be less apt to meet at the QB than the weak side. Still, I'm hoping I will be in close enough proximity to the QB often enough to lower his moral.

Forgive me if I misinterpret but It seems you are saying Aura will not affect the QB because the QB is not a "tackle target." First, how is the QB not a tackle target? This is what DE's do, they tackle the QB. Again, the QB is an "opponent" and Aura should make it easier for the RDE and DT, or anyone on a blitz to tackle him. That's the whole idea of my LDE wearing it is to lower the QB's morale making it easier for either my LDE or his teammates to tackle him.
This discussion has gone way away from what I asked. I was never questioning the effectiveness of DE wearing Aura. I was questioning how effective LDE over RDE wearing Aura. Aura is not unpopular with DE. I would like opinions on the original question, not on the effectiveness of Aura on DE as I think that's been covered already.

I think you're looking at it the wrong way.
The Aura is good because it lowers the OTs morale, thus his ability, making it easier to get around him.
Any effect the Aura has on the QB because of its radius, is going to be most beneficial in his passing performance, not necessarily the ability to tackle him when someone gets to him.
With that said, I'd say it's better to have it on LDE... not necessarily because it's any closer than RDE is to the QB, but because that's where the TE also lines up. This should allow you to negatively impact the TE, and ROT with your Aura at the snap.
