It took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to dominate this offense defensively. I'm sure it took actual defensive coaches half that.

In real life, A-11 is a gimmick offense based on a strained reading of an exception to what should be an unrelated rule. It's also about to be made clearly illegal via rule changes.

In GLB, it simply doesn't exist.

A-11 allows eligible receivers everywhere, so until there is that way to allow that, it doesn't exist. And then we could just run a team of all TEs on offense.

Mike Leach tried to run what he called the "Ninja" at OU back in 1999 when he was the OC for one season and it rarely worked. He ran it as a gimmick in a few games and never did much.

The A11 is an equalizer offense for lesser teams to match up against better teams. I wouldn't run it, might as well go to the Wishbone or Wildcat offense if you want something a bit out of the ordinary for a lesser team to equalize against a better team. .

which would be...?

Quarter defense, Cover 1, man press coverage.
Basically, make sure every player has an assignment, and go after your assignment.
Just like any gimmick, it can be stopped.

this would require 8+ DB's and they would all have to play perfect coverage

a-11 is banned now anyways

They banned A11 because teams were using it to hide eligible recievers and gimmick the defense. I think if it had been presented more clearly and these HS teams tried to play actual football it might have survived, instead they just used it to rack up the score against defenses who couldn't even figure out how to match up their guys.

How is this just not plain illegal....illegal formation...or ineligible man downfield

7 men on the line of scrimmage...only the guy on each end is eligible....
