When it comes to a powerback, how much "Strength" does one need before putting any FURTHER points into it becomes a poor investment?

I ask because all but two of my equipment points have been put into "Strength", which gives me an equipped "Strength" rating of 89.25 (base is 61.25). Tack on the bonus provided by VXPs and my back's effective "Strength" rating is 91.7. I'm wondering if there's even anything further to be gained by piling the level 48 equipment points into "Strength"--if 91.7 isn't high enough for a more-or-less fully developed player, is a couple of more points going to even matter?

Here's the other relevent parts of my build:

Agility: 61.25 naturally, 63.25 w/equip, 69.99 w/VXPs
Speed: 58.37 naturally, 61.29 w/VXPs

PowerThru SA: 8
Bruiser VXPs: 9

Would it make more sense to use the next round of equipment points on Speed and/or Agility, or does additional Strength (beyond the current 91.7) still provide benefits?

seems to me too much is when you are stronger than every linebacker and saftey on the field by 10 points. Alot of people will say the more the better but I really do not agree. I would rather use those sp on speed.

Do you ever wonder whether you would have been just as effective at...say...95, with the additional attention provided to other attributes? (Not a flame--just a question--I know nothing about your player.)

I agree I am going to leave it for now, and am not sure what to do with my next EQ. I figured I'd add to the discussion in hopes of getting other inputs.

EDIT: And who knows what Bort will do to Power backs this off season.

I think I will use some bonus tokens for a few competitive games and see if there is any added advantage noticeable.

Well I'm aiming for 80 strength without equipment on my power HB.

What do you think the tradeoff will be for having done so? In other words, what will your HB have given up to have made that many 3-for-1 and 4-1 SP purchases?

I don't think there'll be much of a tradeoff. Top speed HBs or WRs generally have 100+ speed so I don't see why the same shouldn't go for power HBs.

Although, for my HB I have a speed set of equipment as well as a strength set since he plays on KR/PR.

my point about strength getting less effective as you get higher level and points would be better spent else where is this:

You only use strength when you make contact with an opponent( ie breaking tackles and blocking)
For all intensive purposes you use speed/agi with or without the ball and running routes, it also effects breaking tackles and blocking

so in my opinion once you reach around 80 strength you are better off pumping up speed and investing in some break tackle equipment

since break tackle equipment and Lower Shoulder is based on a percentage wouldnt it be smarter to have more strength then?

My HB has 75 base strength (89 with EQ.... which is fine for the league im in), but I eventually plan on putting points into WW once bruiser is maxed so that I can switch more of my strength gear to speed

Ultimately Im hoping to have a back with 95 strength, 80 speed, 60-68 agi, with roughly 8 points in quick cut, and lower shoulder/power through up to 9 or 10

also need to figure out how to get my carrying up along the way lol
