So, there seems to be a lot of disagreement in this forum about most everything. I just created a SS, and was looking for some opinions regarding which skills are primary and which I should work on getting to the softcap first. It would seem to me like speed, strength and vision are the primary attributes (in that order), but that's just speculation on my part.

Any feedback and/or slowbuild strategies for my new SS would be greatly appreciated.

Disagreement is more about how high you should take vision and strength.

As I see it, most guys agree on this:

- speed to the 3rd soft cap
- agility to the 3rd soft cap

- vision: 1st soft cap at least (UnderDogs), others (like me and Asheme) like it at the 3rd soft cap - second soft cap probably in the middle

- strenght: most would agree that first soft cap is needed, UnderDogs went to the second soft cap early and his guy goes pretty well; in general, I feel like most guys would love strength (and tackling) at the second soft cap, but consider other things to be done first

I agree w/RAPB. Your priorities should be speed, agility, and vision and you should build them up first.

I have high vision safties, one with vision above 3rd cap and one with vision above 2nd cap. I'm not sure that it really matters. It might not hurt to take it to the first cap. But if you are going to use the Super Vision SA I would recomend spending the points on taking it to at least the 2nd cap. Watch the games and pay attention to how your player progresses as you build up a particular skill. This will help you decide. Too many people spend a few points here and a few points there and can never be sure what changes have affected their performance. Your competition has a big impact on your play so watching one game won't tell you everything.

Your thinking in real life might work, but in GLB strength is at best the 4th most important attribute. You will do fine your first few seasons with relatively low strength. Depending on how your player is used, you might find that building up jumping and catching will matter more than strength and tackling.
