Hitting receivers in stride is a combination of a high pass quality from the QB (distance, accuracy, etc.) and the WR getting a high catch roll (so a receiver with high catching will make "better" catches more often allowing them to catch it in stride) . While QB throwing tends to be really high, WR catching tends to be really low... and I'm pretty sure that's why nobody catches a ton of balls in stride.

Pass quality + Tight Spiral + Pretty good catching = catching in stride

does the receiver's carrying have anything to do with it? or solely their catching stat?
