I have strength and agility softcapped, what should I train now and put SP into? I guess I'm trying to make him into more of a run stuffer, so maybe more strength?

This is my guy - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1189305

Get strength, agility, and speed all up to 60 unequipped, and tackling up to at least 48 unequipped. Then you should have a DT that will be ready for any nerf the game brings. I would actully recomend getting the first 3 up to 68, but I wanted to get you started first. Bringing at least one of them up to 68 before working on the others would be a good idea.

DT's aren't overly effective as far as racking up stats in GLB. Don't expect any monster performances.

So what should I train with speed, tackling or agility? Agility is already softcapped once, and what about vision/conf?

Get them both to 68 imo. Train spd/tck and cap tackling, then speed. After tackling is capped train spd/sta, then cap speed. Then train vis/cnf.

Are you suggesting getting Str/Agi to 68 first before capping tackling and speed?

I would get them both to 68 before capping speed and I wouldn't bother putting points into tackling honestly.

I wish I knew how beneficial higher tackling was exactly but I will say this...the backup NT on my team was consistently getting more tackles than I was on less plays per game even though I was better than him in every way except for tackling and it was pissing me off.

I spent 19 SP to cap tackling since it was already at 30. I figure a higher tackling radius is never a bad thing. On the other hand, if you can start training tckling right after you cap str/agi, you might be able to get away with putting points into it.

My understanding is that jumping is what increases your tackle radius, not tackling. More tackling just means less chance to miss a tackle and more chance to force a fumble.

My understanding was that it does increase your radius. I guess neither of us has a reference to point to.

My understanding about jumping matches yours. The sad part is I am about to retire a player who if I weren't retiring I'd be working on jumping and would be finding out for sure if jumping helps or not.

I don't think anyone knows if that's the case or not. Jumping definitely helps, but level 10 guy should ignore that for now.

I don't know for sure that it increases your radius but it makes you more likely to make a tackle when the dot is close to you. It's hard to tell radii from the dots. But two LBs right next to each other, one with 70 tackling, the other 50, the 70 tackling guy will make the tackle first.

err unless it's a diving tackle. That makes it more complicated.
