Warrior General Games

The whole playoff was just put into whack.

Continentals stun the Rage, Gamblers over the Bullets and Elvis very nearly beat the Maulers.

The next two weeks will be very interesting.

First one surprise.
Second one doesn't surprise me at all.
Third one sorta does.

Gamblers are a tough team.. and with those 2 late fumbles we had in which they returned for TD's did us in..Good game fellas.

Throw in my punter getting his first-ever pancake and it definitely was a weird week in Pro East.

We missed and F'n extra point and a 33 yard field goal.....losing the game 23-24. Sorry, but I gotta call BS on that boys!

Maulers were awesome, no doubt and no disrespect- GG for sure! But we beat you guys today.

Oh, and we boosted for this game....so, you all can see that the boosts really do make a big difference.

No you didn't. The final score reflected a stellar late drive by the Maulers to get a FG. Your game included the misses...that's part of the game boys.

If that was how it worked, then we should have been in the playoffs last season instead of the Pirates, after all, we missed an XP.

Nothing is automatic...especially against the Maulers.

Personally, I can't predict what would have happened "if." All I know is that it would have been a completely different ball game. If you hadn't have missed the FG, every single play after that would have been different. I don't pretend to know if that would have worked well or disastrously for us, just that it did change everything. Same with the missed XP. I can tell you that we wouldn't have ran the ball if we would have been down by 3 instead of 2 on our drive towards the end. We may have scored a TD or threw an int. Again, I have no idea. I will gladly grant you this, neither team deserved to lose that game, IMO. It was flat out, one hell of a game.

As far as the boosting goes, I think you're short changing yourself. You guys would have given us a hell of a game either way.


Edit to add a word that I missed, making a sentence otherwise meaningless.

PS. We haven't used a boost this season. So, I'm basing the boosting statement solely on scouting your team, not on results from my own experiences with them. Based on my own scouting, I believed it would be a very good game either way.

You guys just HAVE IT - anytime your down...there is always a way to win it and that is incredible! Congrats to you guys - you deserve all you have earned! Whenever you've been down....you always find a way to win it and that last minute drive was impressive!....we obviously were waiting for a throwing attack down by 1...and you guys came out running - excellent game and congrats on a huge season!

I can kinda understand not going for the advanced gear because we're so late in our players' careers that we simply wouldn't be able to store up enough bonus tokens...but temp boosts still seem silly to me. I'd rather get a more accurate representation of how good my players are against an opponent even if it meant a loss in the regular season so that I have a better understanding of how they match up for the playoffs.

And I don't think that's a bad strategy. Personally, I can see 2 reasons to uses boosts to try to win a game: you need the PO $ a 1st round home game will give or the W will ensure you make the POs. There is a 3rd reason, which was why I used them a couple times last season, but I'll keep that one to myself (even though you all know what it is or you wouldn't be up here), but I did that in games I expected to win anyway. I always followed what UMBF wrote. Against good to great teams, I wanted to know how we stacked up, but we were always lucky enough to catch the breaks and be a lock for the POs. It was a hell of a lot easier to have that outlook under those conditions.

Thanks, Vegas, that means a lot. For what it's worth, I don't care what seed you are, as long as it doesn't match up with whatever we get. I REALLY don't want to play you guys in the 1st round!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously, that's meant as a compliment.

honestly I'm surprised we won. My girlfriends son is in the hospital and I only had about an hour to put together any sort of game plan. Tried something different. It kept the game close and we got a couple key turnovers to make the difference. We might not make the playoffs this year but I think we've turned things around enough that we'll be contenders next year and there's still an outside shot if we can upset the OFG's that we make it this year.

Anyway, good game Bullets. Came down to the wire.
