I'm very pleased with my QB, who upon moving out of a not-so-difficult Single A league (we went 16-0) his stats, QB rating and completion %'s have stayed very strong now in moving up to a decent AA league. BUT, GLB never stands still so I never want to stop examining ways to improve him.

A while ago I rolled a +1 strength, +5% pass quality AE. While the cost of a piece of AE should be the only thing to go by in terms of judging it's relative value, it was very expensive ($70k+ if I recall) and I bought it. It's up to +1 strength, +3 throwing and +11% pass quality. I am wondering if I should shop a bit more for a better piece.

In looking over the description of the Tight Spiral SA, when it tells you what happens with "Additional Levels" it says:

"Increases the bonus to pass quality"

Is it fair to infer that there is some amount of correlation to the +% pass quality offering some sort of bonus similar to Tight Spiral, which seems universally accepted as the best Quarterback SA available? If I use SP's to get TS up to 10, might it be a deadly combination when combined with my ever-increasing Pass Quality AE? Or should I shop for a TS piece of AE?

Thoughts appreciated.

I posted this question in the "Ask a Vet sponsored by Nixx" section, and Nixx (Moderator) said that he believes my interpretation - that being that the term "pass quality" that is bonused via the Tight Spiral SA is the same "pass quality" that is boosted by my +% pass quality piece - is correct. Now we will never know whether the +5% and subsequent increases are better or worse than the bonus of Tight Spiral, but at least I think my thought process is correct.
