So, I think we all agree that speed should come relatively late in a fullback's build. But slowbuild is on the verge of capping vision, with everything else plenty high.

So now, I'm wondering...how fast do you people make your fullbacks? My plan is to train speed to 30, then dump points to get it to 60, then stack equipment to get up to 75-80ish.

traditionally you would want equipment on strength unless you are trying to experiment. my 43 fb has 60 speed 60 agilityu

I think get speed to 60, then figuring out equipment is a good idea. If you got strength and agility up to 68 early, you can get to 80+ in strength, agility and speed, with equipment. I'd think that would make an interesting FB. Not sure if that would be more successful than a 90str/60sp/75ag FB.

Also, consider training speed a little longer. On my lvl 28 FB, I'm training speed until it's to about 33/90%. Then investing to 49, then training again to 50/90%. If you don't have the points to get it straight to 60, you might as well train it a bit longer.

I don't think I need TOO much strength because the linebackers tend to be weak. At level 27 (will be there in a half hour), strength will already be 72 natural, agility will be 69. Your LB has his build open still, and my FB already beats your LB in both of those. Which is why I'm not too worried about linebackers, who I feel are the main threat when I'm lead blocking. Those two attributes I think will do fine with little to no long term equipment. Speed, though...I'm going to be blocking for a very fast pair of HBs. Both will be over 90 speed before level 25(with EQ). So that's why I'm thinking I want close to 80.

Shull, you'll be seeing plenty of the results of this.

yeah, I'll look forward to seeing it. And then adjusting my FB where you made mistakes

And I agree. You put one piece of equipment into strength and you're knocking on 80. With VAs you're past 85.

With VAs you could look like this

73 str + 5 item + 10% VA = 85.3
73 agi + 5 item + 10% VA = 85.3
69 spd + 16 (2 items + CE) = 85

I think that'll work alright.

But this has gone off topic. I ask again...

How fast are your FBs/do you plan on taking them to?

68....and +1 for training at 68/95%, so 69.

Since I'm going to make the opposite of a traditional FB, I think I'm going to take speed as far as 68. Only issue is, his uses are going to be quite specialized, and development will be an issue since nobody will want a FB with high agility, no speed, some blocking and strength.

60 has been enough for mine although my RBs are not all that fast. I'd probably not plan on taking it over 70.

To tweak the question, how much of a difference should there be in your FBs speed versus the RB he is blocking for?

Not to take away from the OP, but I think this question may shed a little light as it would really depend on the level he/she is at.

60 Speed & 60 Agility looks like a good target for Level 40-45, just don't get run over by your own HB.

From what I've watched of my FB, I haven't had any problems lead blocking with speed between 30-45 points lower than the halfbacks I've been blocking for. Feel free to watch some of the plays.

I'm at 58.22 speed, 61.64 agility. Probably won't take speed too much more. I'm a blocking and short yardage back so the break-away speed isn't really a necessity.
