no point in training speed/agility after a certain point. It will only raise you about 7% points when you could be more productive training carrying/stamina/confidence/catching/jumping/vision. just my opinion

Yes it's possible, however it takes approximately 18 levels (100 SP including the initial 15 SP) just to get speed to 80 even if you train it past 30 before spending any SP.
So to complete that build would take ages, probably most of the player's 10 season career.

^ this.
Also to be productive with a STR set and a SPD set I don't think it would take an 80/80/60 raw build at all to be effective in both. Hell, I've got ~ 55/70/66 raw (while having 40+ carrying/vision/catching) and could have a build with 81 str/78 speed/66 agility for a "power" setup and use a speed setup for 50/96/66 for "speed". Factor in a boost to start next season and the lvl 40 gear ...
The issue is that you really want things like Power Thru to get up to 7 or so for a powerback, etc ...
that said, this type of back is perfect for a backup or 3rd RB option and KR. I think an owner would be well served to build one that he can keep on the roster (hence no complaining about carries/touches). It certainly would give your team some flexibility. (at least that's how I try to sell myself.

I agree.. but what is a better spend for the long run.... 7% on speed/ agil or 13% on something less important like carrying confidence and such. I still want to get carrying to about 30, stamina to about 35 and confidence to about 30..... is all of that possible. I figure it will take longer to get points, but i will end up with more points in the important things

Well I am currently 69/71/68 str/spd/agl base and by 40 I will be 70/80/70 base.
Would I recommend this path to anyone? Not really as I would do a lot of things differently if I started him over. I am taking it to extremes because I just want to see how productive he would be trying some different stuff out, but for all that speed, when I run power I am not liking his break away speed.

where is your equip? My main point is why spend training to get 13% of a minor attribute when I can get 7% on major attributes. I also want to build a guy that can be versatile and be a speed guy or a power guy by moving equip from game to game.

You're basically talking about something that you shouldn't really be worrying about - the endgame. Yes, when you can train a major 7% and any minors would only go up 13%, you might as well pick a major to raise by like 1 point per season. But along the way, you should be pumping the majors very high in the first place and training the untouched minor attributes as long as possible to maximize your training rewards. Then when you're level 50ish, and nothing relevant to train is below the first soft cap, you might opt to switch back to training your major attributes on intense, just to take like +1point/season in those two attributes since most minor attributes can be left at an "acceptable" level without requiring any upkeep as you get to harder competition.
