I have a high strength & high agility ILB / MLB
Speed, Vision, and Tackling are just softcapped

Is Superior Equipment with Strong Base good for him?

No. You can do much better unless it's strong base and +3 in some attribute.

My guy is only lvl 25

I just refreshed and got
+3 stamina & +1 sticky hands SA
or
+1 big hit SA
or
+1 first step SA

are any of those better than +1 strong base SA for an agility focused LB who has more agility, strength, vision, and tackling than speed?

Should I keep getting shopping tokens to get a better piece?

They all suck. First step isn't terrible, but you want an attribute on anything you buy (unless you're an MLB and you roll DLG, maybe).

Strong Base doesn't even work for defensive linemen with 100+ strength.

first step is the only one worth a damn, but if you have strength and tackling > speed, i'd suggest fixing that before anything else

Nah speed is still the best, but it's what else you have that can make or break your speed.

Speed is often assumed to be the most important attribute for LBs. It is usually 3rd behind Agility and Vision, if not, it is behind Strength as well.

Speed doesn't do any good if you can't get started, or if you start running to the wrong place.

I need to point you to the first part of that post. My LB is only lvl 25. I can't find advanced EQ in the store that gives the same bonuses that lvl 40 guys are getting. The next two refreshes of the advanced equipment store gave ridiculously bad equipment.

My question is not what gear should a level 40 guy look for in the advanced equipment store, it is about what equipment a level 25 guy should look for in the advanced equipment store.

At level 25, you can find the same SAs, the same +3s, and the same %s as you can at level 40. They're all drawn from the same pool, you just keep getting bad rolls. Its luck.

Not entirely true. Higher level stuff doesn't really become available (or at least not at reasonable rates) until you hit roughly lvl 30 (reasonable rule of thumb). At that point does the shopping vs. bonus token tradeoff become more feasible to shop on a more consistent basis.

You may be able to pull stuff at level 25, but the chances would be far lower than at higher levels, thus limiting your overall bonus token gain.

I've got about 14 shopping tokens sitting on my lvl 27 LB now that I'm waiting to use until I'm at least lvl 30.

But if he's rolling +3 stamina already, then he has +3 to any other attribute available. I have yet to see an item for anyone better than +3 (attribute) +1 (good SA). Have you seen reports of 4s?

And from what I read, as you get higher, its actually worse, since the +1 jumping items don't disapear, they stay in the pool along with the +3 agility +1 SV piece we all want.

Having great vision and knowing where to run doesn't do any good if you can't get there. Being a good tackler doesn't do any good if you can't get in position to make a tackle.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Speed and AGI are the most important stats for a LB. Yes, ven for a MLB. Speed for you can be the difference between you stopping the RB for a 2 yard gain and a 80 yard TD run
