Do I need more vision or more strength on my level 22 punter? I have 49 strength and 46 vision.

Depends on where your punting and confidence are.

88 punting and 58 confidence. 49 strength 46 vision level 22

I'd go confidence 61 to get it to pay off with leveling. It's also important of course.

Also what's wrong with those punts? They're both good coffin corner kicks. That's what you want to see from your punter.

They are good, but I'd prefer coffin corner punts inside the 5 yards-line.

Your punter is level 22. If he could coffin IN 5 consistently then the later levels would serve no point. Even NFL punters can't coffin within the 5 consistently. Those are good punts, work on your conf a bit.

Why is it that coffin corner punts seem to go WAY further than regular old deep punts? Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I can kick it diagonally 50+ yards no problem, but when I need to kick it 50 yards down the middle of the field it only goes 30.

I have a similar question to the OP. This ball goes into the endzone for a touchback. What attribute will help me stick these more consistently, vision or confidence? What exactly does vision do for a punter, either theoretically or in practice (or both)?

It seems dumb to ever kick it straight, then. Too bad I can't set it to coffin corner despite the distance every time.

Also, I'm not sure what would happen if you coffin'd it from your own 30; maybe the KR comes in on a diagonal and catches it anyway.

That's what I mean, it shouldn't be an exploit, it just shouldn't be so good compared to kicking "deep."
