I'm thinking a WR with 70 str, 90 spd and 50 agility

All CBs have really low STR so they couldn't tackle this player. If he caught the ball it would be over.

Sounds good in theory, but I don't think there are enough tackle bonuses for WRs to utilize the high strength. Is 1 broken tackle a game worth that investment in strength? If you could land 4 pieces of SAs that have break tackle SAs, maybe. I'd stick to high agility and load up on spin. The 30 or so SP to get to 10 spin will give you a better return that spending the 100 SP to get to 70 strength.

it works, you just have to focus on your WR abilities first as those receive the automatic level gains

How about some supporting evidence? If by 1 broken tackle a game you mean it works, I would refer you my post above about agility and spin being a better use of the equivalent points to create a monster.

I would agree with you. Maybe get strength to the first soft cap, but it's better to have that strength backed by an SA. If you find a AE piece like Power Through, then the strength might be worth it.

This would be a tricky build though. It'd take a lot of planning.

Not bad, 11 broken tackles on 24 catches. Seems good.

50 agility? He's gonna be terrible at route running.

Probably, unless you invest in Quick Cut and Route Running SA. Get those to 8, and he'll look like he has 65-70 agility, if not more.
