Only in the second season... I've been readinng how much trouble all the Elusive Backs have been having as of late, its making me start thinking about changing into a Power Back. My Problem is that I might have spent to much into Elusive's Specials
3 into Quick Cut: Thats fine, it seems that all Back should load up on Quick Cut
2 Into Head Fake: It seems HF is worthless; put pts into it inorder to reach 1st Step
3 1st Step: want to get a good jump off the LOS
2 Juke: seems like I wasted 2 Skill pts here

so what do you think, If I start loading up strength... can I turn it around in a season or 2.

Would never get any use from most of those skill points you wasted in the elusive tree.

Elusive backs are fine if you can catch. Otherwise people just overblitz the run and you get shut down. Need to have more than just a running threat in the back field or you will always be shut down by good defenses that have no reason to think twice about blitzing often.

Nope, not too late, and yes you can. You didn't put too much into elusive SAs.

I would suggest you restart and build a power back if you want one but if you want it's still possible for you to turn him into a power back just not as effective as the power backs that started out as power backs to begin with due to you having so many elusive SAs.

Either that or just stick with being an elusive back.

Yes. If you are a super fast HB who can catch, you can open up the game in whole new ways.

You won't see much of any result from a SA that is only at 3 or 2. And it'll show even less if your main elusive attributes are really low. Its like an offensive lineman trying to juke a linebacker irl. They won't get faked.

Proofs everywhere. Past 3 or 4 teams I have played have all featured a receiving HB.

No, it's not too late to turn him into a powerback.

Yes, it's too late to turn him into an elite/pro-caliber powerback.

Yes, it's too late. You should have 0 SA's at that level anyway.

how much receiving are we talking about? It sounds like a good idea to put points into receiving, but does it need to be over 40? I have about 30 right now, so I guess i could train it every now and then.

Did those HBs lead their league in catching? Mine has since last season.

Leave it at 30 for now. Get your speed up to 5:1 and agility to 4:1. Then worry about getting your catching into the 40s.

Its all about getting open first and foremost.

I feel a NERF receiving H.B. thread brewing.

Lol. I hope not. I only know of one other guy who has had 2K+ yards catching as an HB, so that would be a pretty specific nerf.

Maybe I can make a nice Combo back out of him... if Combo backs even work...

Nah, they just need to NERF the god awful pass coverage. And make it so if you blitz a LB then the HB is still covered instead of doubling the blocking TE.
