My FB this season has been making some very stupid moves when blocking for the HB. I'd guess a lot of others noticed it too. Does anyone have any idea why?

How's your vision? I've heard bad about very high and about very low.

Vision is at 50 ish at the moment. Same for confidence.

There's a thread in the bugs forum about it. It doesnt seem to be uncommon. FBs who were good at lead blocking last season are doing silly things this season.

There are numerous other plays where he just fools around in the pocket and doesn't engage anyone.

kind of slow off the line... havent seen this with my level 41.

What are your vision and confidence at? Do you have any points in spot blitz?

My theory is that the game is slower this year, and FBs are relatively more slow. Slower FBs appear to hesitate. Also, look in the changelog and there is a line item about increasing weight factor on speed/acceleration or some such. Boost your speed to compensate.

Mine is a lot more blocking focussed than yours. The main difference that I can see is in vision and confidence, and you have 0 points in spot blitz. I'd guess my guy is see a lot of defensive play devoloping and making bad decisions based on what he sees, whereas yours is seeing a lot less and having fewer dilemmas about what to do.

Personally I don't buy into all this vision is bad for FBs stuff. My FB has 60+ vision and I haven't noticed any big issues this season. I believe there are still some bugs in pass prot pathing and the occasional hesitation problem, but apart from that i'm very happy with the way the season is going.

Oh and afaik Spot Blitz is only useful for playing pass prot.

I've seen some wonky blocking from my back occasionally. I increased his stamina because some of it appeared to be in the 2nd half, but still has issues from time to time (in any part of the game). I think some of it is the sim.

Yeah, I doubt it is the case. If more vision was making FBs worse I'd hope Bort would have done something about it by now. Perhaps I need more vision still. The suggestion of more speed could help, my dude could be spotting that he's just gonna hold the HB up.

HOW much lead blocking do you have? Ive noticed a big change in his lead blocking since i bought that Lead block AE

5 in lead block. More than last season when he was still doing appropriate things.

Seems to me like he's helping with the DE first on each play.....could be your tackle is getting beat and he sees it and reacts.
