Since out man jtrav21 is feeling under the weather, I'll step in for him this once:
#1 - Teikoku - after beating the previous #1 in a close fought battle, the Alexnaders have now become the team to beat. All-world HB Whitesqual ran for over 200 yards to get the victory
#2 - Port Moody - keeps the 2nd spot due to the still unbeaten record. Will have to earn it this week with a match up against Atlanta.
#3 - Atlanta - after beating Emmaus, they have set their sights on the #1 spot...and that road takes them through the House of Pain!
#4 - Bronx - still in the top 4, even though they lost to the Alexanders...cause they kept it close...a hard loss in the final seconds can break a team...will they rebound form this loss?
#5 - Victoria - padding their stats and aiming to jump into the top 4 with a win over Emmaus. Their schedule will be ramping up for the next 3 games...
#6 - Emmaus - can jump a spot with a win over Victoria...but are they capable of beating a playoff team from last season? The next game will tell!
#7 - Thundertown - keep's their place due to a weak conference. Needs to show they can win against true competition if they want to move up the boards.
#8 - who knows. Should be Niagra, but it might end up being any of the last teams...
Game of the Week:
6-0-0 Port Moody PAIN vs. 5-1-0 Atlanta Dogs of War
Atlanta definately has more bite then last season! Great recruiting and game planning has firmly put them on the path to definate playoff spot...but are they ready for the top 4? Going against the PAIN will be their first challenge in the conference and will have definate seeding implications. The PAIN roll in after stomping most of the gutted teams, looking for some real action. Who will win? It will all be determined in the House of PAIN!!
Prediction: experience in the lime light helps...
Score Port Moody 35 Atlanta 28
